I watch my sodium intake by avoiding processed foods but I don't know hard numbers as far as how much is too much.

Yes, green tea is good for you.  I try to drink it everyday.  It has lots of antioxidants and other stuff that I can't remember but know if good for you!!!  :)

glad its good for me cuz it tastes good and i didnt wanna have to cut it out

If you keep your CC food log and run the analysis your total for the day should be less than 2400mg sodium.  3/4 of the salt in the typical western diet comes from preserved foods such as cured meats, cheeses, smoked fish, olives.... also processed, canned, packaged and ready-made foods where it acts as a preservative as well as a flavour enhancer.  Restaurant food is also usually liberally larded with salt.   If you find your diet is very high in salt the easiest way to reduce it is to eat more wholefoods (vegetables, meat, fish, fruit, grains), fewer preserved foods & cook more foods at home from fresh ingredients.

Green tea is a very nice drink with a lot more going for it than, say, a fizzy drink or coffee.  There are stories that it 'boosts the metabolism' but you'd have to drink a lot of it to have a significant impact.   Drink it because you enjoy it.

thanks :)  i mostly drink tea and water

White tea is also very good for you (not to mention very tasty)!  It too has loads of antioxidants!  I read an article last week that said that white tea may also help burn fat.  Here is a link:

Green tea is good for you, but like with everything, don't overdo it - one of my friends got aneamia because she was guzzling it down like there was no tomorrow... Make sure you eat something healthy to counter that effect like spinach for example!
