What's up with my foot this time? Ugh.
I am an avid runner (six days a week usually) but I always seem to develop some sort of foot pain. I've had things similar to plantar fasciitis, and countless other annoying little injuries over the course of the year.
Now I'm starting to have a horrible pain on top of and to the inner-facing side of my foot. It's just right below my ankle on hurts on the side and the upper region of the foot. Looking at this (http://arthritis-symptom.com/images/PhotoFoot .jpg) picture, I'd say it's near the navicular bone.
Has anyone else experienced this? My mom says "it's nothing", but I don't want to take chances. She refuses to let me take it to a foot and ankle doctor, so I'm pretty much on my own as far as diagnosis and treatment goes. Any advice?
Oh, and I'm not running on it as of now. I'm doing swimming and sometimes walking (with insoles and supportive shoes).
Its not nothing you should probably see a podiatrist. But, try a good set of arch supports. How often do you buy new shoes? When you ran did you have shoes with the correct support for your feet. Also, do yourself a favor dont go to big 5 or payless shoe source and buy shoes off their racks. Go to an actual sports shoe store such as fleet feet(no foot locker doesnt count). Also, try finding a good feet in your area.
