What's your weight loss goal?

Quote  |  Reply
Hello, I have been on my diet for 47 days, and i have lost 23 pounds so far. I have been up and down on my diet. But i always get back on track. My goal is to lose 65 pounds. I started at 215 with out a true weight loss goal.. Because i knew Ten pounds of it was water weight gain.

I just want to know.. What is every ones goal? I have a goal of 140 pounds i think a size 12-14 will be good for a woman with hips and that is 5 foot even.

I think this is a good goal for me.. Wish me luck.....

Good luck to you all,
Lynn

good luck! My goal is to get down to 140-130. I have lost 23 lbs now but i still have 160+ lbs to lose. I started this on janurary 18th (joined this site on jan 24th). I figure i'll be at my goal weight in 1 1/2 years if i continue to work this hard at it. So far i have not fallen off the wagon yet even though there have been temptations. I am not sure where i am getting the self control and strength to be doing this well but i'm very proud of myself so far. I believe that this site is really helping me stay on track because there is so much information here and so many wonderful people to talk to and ven to and to laugh with that i have support for the first time in my life and i think that that will make the difference.

Ok.. enough babbling! :)
good luck.
you're right, thats a good size goal. i dont think skinny women are very attractive, personally.
well ive been on a diet since feburary first, although i just joined the site. s
o far i have lost 21 pounds. which is a bit much for that little bit of time and i dont know how i lost it so quick.
i started at 218 and that put me at 197 now. my goal is 160. im 5'6". however i have to see how i look because i used to be 5'4" and 150 but that was actually too thin for my body build. my size goal is 13-11
I just reached 175, and hope to get to 150 by the end of July. It seemed really slow the first few weeks while I was figuring out what I was doing, but now I feel like I'm on a slow but steady pace, and I'm looking forward to adding those extra 500 cals back on for maintenance when I reach my goal. I'm sure I'll always be counting and analyzing, though, to make sure I stay there.
I weighed in on January 26th at 379 lbs and started the following day. I weigh in once a week and I am down to 363. I have lost 16 lbs and have about 180 lbs to go. My ultimate goal is to be back at 185 where I once was several years ago.

To keep myself motivated and not get discouraged by thinking about 180 lbs to lose, I set small weight loss goals. My first goal that I am working on now is to lose 10% of my current weight. When I weighed in on the 26th I was 379 so a 10% loss would be about 37 lbs. Once I lose those 37 lbs and get to around 342 lbs, I will set another 10% goal.

Best of luck to you.

Chuck
I started out Jan. 6 at 350+ and now I'm at 326.9........I still have about 123 more pounds to lose to reach my goal.
Hi, to all of you. I love your goals. I love what this chat group room has done for all of us. You know.. We are in a battle of weight loss and goals to be happy, but most of all to be fit and happy with our self.

I once readied a long time ago. Your health is what you make of it.

I just add another goal to my weight loss program. That is to learn how to be happy with the woman i am within.

We all sometimes forget about the soul we house within us. My goal is to lose 65 pounds and to learn to be happy with what is on the outside and in.

We all have great goals ahead of us, and with this chat room group... We all will make our goals happen for us. It takes one day at a time.

When you are born. You are carried for over 10 months. This room to me is rebirth to what was on the outside years ago. I 'm not walking. I am being carried along the way with this group of wonderful women and men.

I wish you all the best of luck.

Lynn......
OF COURSE...BEST OF LUCK!!!
For me ..most imortantly Imy personal goal is to get ME back! I lost it and now I finding it again...day by day....voice by voice form this site! I am 5'3" and weigh 151 today....my goal desire is 127!
I feel really good about that goal....I feel it coming! I am heavier thru my butt and thighs but over the past year...it has appeared slowly but surely!!
Tried denial.....NOT!!! I have liked myself better when I am toned and eating correctly...not so much THE NUMBER ON THE SCALE......but that helps of course....I have a smaller build that allows my behind to be closer to the floor...ha ha!!
My inseam is 29 inches.....so the more I am toned and the less I carry BACK there......the better I feel! I have sad that I am glad I am not the one walking behind me.....but someday that will turn around and maybe someone will say...wow! I wonder how she stays so fit?Hmmmmmmmm.........
I have struggled my whole life, I feel...... up and down the scale, different "diets", stupid things...I have been in the past very athletic and now I am getting back into becoming physically healthy again! I feel like I have found the best way to handle not only my food struggles but the fitness ones too!
I love the monthly challenge thing. I love to feel good in my clothes...which is not a happening thing so much right now....BUT IT'S COMING!!
SO you will be able to reach your goal with all of our help and guidance here in this beautiful site!
Enjoy the ride.....zzzzooooooooooommmmmmmm!!

I'm 194 now and I want to get down to 150 by November. Long-term, I ideally want to get to 136. That's what the calculator says I should be at, for my 5'5" frame... We'll see.

Health is really what I'm aiming for.
My long term goal is somewhere between 115-130 depending on how I look in feel since I've never been down there... but my short term goal is 167- by March 6th (that's the first day back to school after vacation) and after that around 136 by the end of my Junior year :D
My goal is 145 - 150, I know it is a long struggle and it can really get you down sometimes but with your help I just keep trying.
My goal is 138 and I've lost about 15 pounds so far with 50 to go.
Hey Lynn,

My name is Natasha Im 20 years old... My goal weight is to be 115 lbs... by my son's first birthday which is on May 20th ... You probably think thats to skinny... But that's where I would feel good at... We'll I guess we will see when Im like 120 lbs I will see if I want to lose more weight or not. I'm 5'1 and as of today I weigh 138.5 lbs So I have 23.5 lbs to go... I have been struggleing with my weight after I got married... Like a couple years after the pounds just started packing on... I was like ok I need to lose this weight, then opps, cant lose weight Im pregnant... So I was like yeppy more food to eat and I pigged out all the time... justed used my pregnancy as an excuse... I gained 50 lbs with my son... took me 9 months to lose all that... and now I want to lose more... Oh I cant wait to look like I looked when I first met my husband... He says that to him I still look the same... but I know I don't... He is pretty supportive of me tho... He on the other hand is trying to gain weigh... so its kinda hard for both of us, becus I buy all low fat stuff, well now that I think about it he doesn;t really eat that much junk food... soo, maybe its harder for him then for me.. I dunno! Anyways, good meeting you... and Good LUCK!
Hello to all,

My goal at this piont is to be between 150-155, I am taking it 10lbs at a time though. After having my daughter 11 months ago I was at 235 my peak. I spent these past 11months trying to get rid of those fifty pounds I gained w/ the pregnancy. To this day I have lost about 57lbs, but my weight had plateaued. After joining this website, I realized something very shocking, I was not eating nearly enough. So I am trying to gradually increase my calorie intake with healthy foods and trying to stay within my ranges, but it is hard because I guess my stomach got use to me eating so little and I get full really fast. I have gained 1lb this week but I have to try to get enough calories. So hopefully the scale will take a turn for the better soon. In the long run it will pay off. I also work out every day. I have about 25-30lbs to lose to get to goal.

Good Luck Everyone!
Well, I see all of us have high goals and we are going to make it. I love checking the posting replys.. It gives me that push i need to keep stepping in the right light of things.

My boy friend is now getting on board with my weight loss goals.. And is behind me now 100%.. He said, no more joking about it. And no more making you feel like you can't do it on your own.

I tell him.. I can't.. But i have the friends and the family online that i need to help me do this..

We are here to win this..

Good Luck to you all..

Lynn
Hello folks.

I started here two weeks ago; the day I got home from the hospital after a heart attack. The "official" hospital weight was 230, at 5'8" you could say I asked for that attack.

My goal weight is 148 by May of 2007. I am supposed to be on an 1800 calorie diet but it is impossible to eat that many calories and still hit the fat target of less than 50 grams/day and the carb target of less than 120 grams/day.

I start cardic rehab tomorrow, I expect the exercise will help with the weight loss.

Good luck to all of us,

--Gary

Hi!!! I also have a lot to lose. I started on this site Jan 16.. I was 247. I have only lost 8 lbs. but that is ok, I took me a couple of years to put it on and it will take a couple of years to take it off. I am 34 years old and only 5'4. I have major health/weight related issues that run in my DNA. I am trying to get a grasp of the situation before I end up like my DAD!!! Who died at 58 of every obesity related condition one person can have!!!
I have been on this site since Jan 4, ~ I have approx. 115lbs to lose..so far I have lost 22lbs..since I started this journey in November {approx. 3 mon.} ~

I feel a little discouraged at times..becasue I have not lost more than 22lbs..but i have to realize that I didnt gain it all in 4 months..so I sure as hell cant take it off in 4 months..but still we live in a MICROWAVE world and I want to see major results right away~
..and Its a struggle I fight daily... but its easier thanx to all of you~

Keep the faith & keep fighting!!

Thanx for listening~

I started last monday Feb 13th, at 230 lbs. I turn 50 in December and my goals is to end my life long battle with food and get healthy. I would like to end at 150 lbs, but I like the ideas of setting short term goal at 10% weight loss. This week I have done pretty good. I love the log. I've gone out to eat and never felt bad about my choices. Just getting healthy and start moving. I don't understand why, but this time I feel different. I am being honest with myself, even when I make choices that are not on track with my goal. I am still logging them. I need to down the water, in the past that really seems to wash away the fat. Good luck to all, I would love your support.
