I lost something very important to me - South Beach Southwestern Breakfast wraps. I eat one every day and Walmart doesnt have them. Spoke with them and they dont have them in the warehouse but they dont know if they wont be carrying them or theyre just out now.
Yes it probably wasnt a good a idea to become dependant on them but theyre healthy, filling and tasty so they started it. Checking around other stores.
Im still hoping but for now, Im fighting the good fight without them :( Has anyone else lost a food? I bet there are others with foods they'd be hurting for if they were to *blip* disappear.
My List : (havent lost them but i cant live without them!)
- Fiber 1 Cereal
- Honey Bunches Of Oats Cerea
- 100 Calorie Packs
- Light N Fit Yogurt
- Diet Mountain Dew
- Diet Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash
- Nature Valley Peanut Butter Granola Bars
- Kashi Cheese Crackers
- American Single Cheese
- PEANUT BUTTER
- Splenda
I know how you feel! I am very loyal to products that I like and I hate when they get discontinued. It hasn't happened with any food that I "depend" on but it has happened with other products. Like The Body Shop... they must have discontinue at least 5 things I used to use daily! :(
My next at risk item would be crystal light. I cant do only a little soda because of reflux plus I dislike the carbination and Ive lived on crystal light (walmart version) since I can remember. Just switching from my peach tea and apple wouldnt be too fun.
There's a particular brand of hummus with spinach that Whole Foods usually carries that I am very fond of. Sometimes they don't have it for whatever reason, and I'm stuck with some other kind. Sob.
they took:
Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper...
if they took:
Diet Pepsi Jazz (any flavor)
Easy Mac
Lean Pockets
mini-bags of Doritos
Fruit and Yogurt Special K
Mc Donald's Side Salads
Spray Dressing
i would be so sad!
don't take my fooOOOood
Trader Joe's used to have these amazing salsa style refried beans. And then one day, they were gone.
For me it's the Boca Chili and Boca Lasagna. I know the products are still made, but all the stores near me stopped carrying them. Oh, and the Wonder Light Hamburger and Hotdog rolls. I miss those.
Walmart had a summer apple drink 0 cal and when I found out they werent getting any more, went around hitting the stores stocking up. Had them forever but Im a hoarder when it comes to stuff I like.
So sad to see lose something great like these examples. Mourning all your losses :(
:)
Thomas Light Multi-Grain English Muffins. They haven't totally disappeared, but my grocery store seems to carry them only half the time. They are my saving grace for lunch because I love sandwiches. One muffin is only 100 calories and has a good amount of fiber. It's only a little bit smaller than two regular slices of bread. Makes a darn good sandwich!
When my grocery store doesn't have them, I am not a happy camper.
Found my wraps! Tom Thumb, a pricier store but since there not discontinued I will eye that Walmart shelf and begrudgingly cough up the extra cash to get my fix.
Just Right cereal- i used to get it at Ralph's, but I haven't been able to find it!

Is it the Oasis brand of spinach hummus? (If so, it's great ... but their roasted red pepper hummus is EVEN BETTER!) I am seriously addicted to Hummus available only at Whole Foods.

I hear ya! I cannot survive without these, so we buy 10 packages at a time and fill up the freezer. Seriously, I have one entire shelf of JUST Thomas' Light multigrain english muffins. (My DH thought I was nuts, until we ran out and had to visit SEVEN different stores to find more. Now he just helps me stock up.!)

Thomas was also making a light plain bagel with high fiber and only 110 calories per bagel... can't find that anymore!
Wal-Mart is constantly switching brands on me, drives me nuts!! They used to have a certain brand of stuffed chicken breasts (I know, not terribly healthy!), then they switched, and the one they carry now is nasty. All I ask for is some nice boring consistency...
My grocery store has whole-wheat mini-breadsticks that I just love when I can get them... they make a wonderful salad roll and 1/2 a stick only has 140 calories! Sometimes they have the same wholewheat bread made into larger loaves and I make sure to buy them while I can get them. I'm not sure if they're not popular (so they don't make many) or they're VERY popular (so they disappear fast...)
I live in a small town and healthy options aren't easy to find. I was using ALOT of low sodium chicken broth to make things that were lower calorie extra yummy. When I went to the one store that carried it last week I found out they can't get it anymore. I'll probably stock up the next next I can get to a city but it still stinks in the meantime.
I'm glad you found your wraps again
Special K changed the recipe of their waffles, making them 80 calories instead of 60 :( Not horrible and there not gone, but come one! Some of eggos regular waffles are 90... I like when its only 60 calories better!
apparantly, they are discontinuing pepsi Jazz.
i could just cry
i used to be a big fan of these whole wheat hot dog buns that were about 110 or 120 cals. i always ate them with my 97% fat free hot dogs. and then one day i went to the store this summer, and they had disappeared. there are regular white ones at the same amount of calories, but i think they taste too doughy and the wheat ones toasted better.
and TEAM CHEERIOS. you don't understand how disappointed i was when i went to the store and they'd stopped carrying it.
there's been other things, but these are the only 2 i really remember.
