Whining about the Body Weight Matrix
I have finally finished the last one of these, at least for stage 3. I see it comes back back in stage 5 so I'm not celebrating yet. So far I haven't been able to finish the whole set without taking at least a few seconds to stop and breathe during both the lunge jumps and the squat jumps.
So that leaves me just one more workout in stage 3.
On a lighter note, I see stage 4 has the dreaded stepups again! ![]()
Woohoo, both matrix sets!!!!! Awesome, good job! Same with going to 25 lbs on the shoulder presses, way to go!
Today I did workout B of stage 2 and put a down payment on the bodyweight matrix because it looked cool and I wanted to try it out.
I got through one set, with half of the lunge jumps and a few pauses for breath in the squat jumps. It's quite something -- I'm looking forward to building up to doing the whole thing.
I just started stage 3 yesterday but didn't have enough time to do the bodyweight matrix so I did it today. whew! I got through two sets this time (better than last time) but only did 1/2 of the lunge jumps, pretty awkwardly. And this is supposed to be *after* the weights workout. yikes!
I had my first go at the Matrix last night, and I'm *definitely* feeling it.
When you guys do it, do you keep you hands behind your head, like in the pictures? I found i needed mine to just keep me going!
Am I the only one who likes it?
I'm finishing stage 1 and am not supposed to be doing it yet, but I just though it would be fun. I only do 1 set, and I stop to catch my breath for 5-8 seconds between lunge jumps and squats jumps, but I manage to do the first 3 exercises in a row non-stop.
I'll do 2 sets next time.
I can't say they are fun. But when you are done you feel empowered. I am doing them in stage 5 and I notice a big improvement from when I first did them in stage 2 (or was it 3? can't remember - but I am stronger now!)
