What's a Water Buffalo?  And why are we calling ours Rootbeer?

Water Buffalo is just like a buffalo but found in the water most of the time. (IDK) I think his name is Henry though, and you'll get used to him but his scent is something that takes a while to get used to.

Oh, like a REAL water buffalo.  I didn't realize we had a mascot.  In that case, it makes complete sense that he be dubbed Henry Percival Rootbeer.   You can call him by either his first or last name - whichever you prefer.  Just don't call him Percival.

Yes, yes lets have a whole brood of house hippos. They are small and adorable. We have to import them to the U.S. though, we don't have them here naturally.

correct, as they're only found in the northern united states, or eastern.  i don't remember which the tv told me...
