It really depends on what you've cut out.  Most people start by cutting out carbs and since those are your bodie's main source of energy, the blood sugar levels will fall significantly (hence the hunger pangs)

THe other side of that coin may be sheer habit, your body is probably used to eating a certain amount of food.

I suggest you get yourself some high fiber snacks (as fiber helps you stay fuller longer.  I.e. Apples, Fiber One bars, bananas, and grapes/raisins.

Those are always better options, since you should eat when hungry.  The last thing you want to do is kill your metabolism by starving your body, that will only work against you in the long run.

oh my god i know! im also on my third day, just gave in to chocolate lol 3pieces and 112 cal's  but on my scales iv lost 3kilos in 3 days wich is alot for three day, water?

Just try to remember why you are doing this!!  This is your life not your stomaches and dont let it run your life!!! I know it is hard but when you are hungry you should eat something!  Always have good snacks around you, cucumbers, carrots green peppers apples, anything that is fresh is always going to be your best bet!!  Those 100 calorie snacks will never fill you up as much as an 80 calorie apple will.  Try to remember that you are just starting this and it is going to be hard and that there is a payoff at the end! I am three weeks in and am having crazy dreams about pigging out on bad food but i know in my mind is now one hundred percent with me and i figure that is its way of letting me  eat whatever i like in my dreams!!!!!

Make sure your calorie goal is not too low for you. Use the calculators here and aim for a range that will have you lose a pound a week or so. Make sure you eat enough if you exercise or just move around a lot. Don't starve yourself and go hungry-it will only lead to binges that will counteract any weight loss. You want to be eating at a range that you can sustain as a lifestyle change!

if you get the munchies just brush your teeth!!! you wont want to snack with the taste of toothpaste! yuck!

this always works for me!
