Whoo hoo for me!

Ok, so I have to toot my own horn just a bit. (I'm celebrating my mini milestones as I reach them.  That way it makes my ultimate goal seem more reachable)  Anyway, I've been seriously working on losing weight since Feb.1 of this year.  As of today, I have lost 19lbs, about 24 total inches and I am officially down at least 1 full size, probably closer to 2.  I started out in a 16W-18W and yesterday I went and bought 2 pairs of shorts that are a regular 14 and some shirts that are larges!   I tried on my wedding dress the other day and it fit!!!  I haven't been able to get into my wedding dress for maybe 8 years (I've only been married 9 years).  I am so excited.   I was hoping to be down to my goal weight by my birthday (dec 29) and I really don't think I'm going to get there, as I still have about 50lbs to go, but for the first time since I started this I'm not THAT upset about it.

I know I will get to my goal weight- or at least a weight that I feel good about the size I'm in, and I know that slower is better because then I am retraining my body and will keep it off better.  By my birthday I will at least be much smaller than I was last year and will feel much better about myself.   Until I actually tried on the smaller shorts that didn't really click.   I knew that my clothes were looser, and I've had people at work mention that I look like I'm losing weight, but I guess I didn't believe that I could actually be in "normal" size clothes instead of plus size.

Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble and thanks for reading this if you got this far!

congratulations! you are well on your way towards your goal. just keep up the good work, and you'll soon BE there. doesn't really matter when, as long as you do it, right?
WTG Kimber,

Success is such a great motivator.  Keep up the good work.  You are healthier and getting better.  You can and will accomplish your goals of getting healthy.
Woo hoo!!!  That's great!  It sounds like you and I are pretty similar, or at least our milestones have been!

Keep up the great work...if it's paid off this much already, think about how great you'll feel when you reach your goal weight!!
Congratulations! YOU ARE A STAR! Isn't it yummy to get into smaller dresses/clothes!!! It's like playing dolls with yourself when you realize you actually can wear your older clothes again, it's like seeing old friends again! LOL! Enjoy your new self and CONGRATS on your progress!
Thanks everyone for the congrats.   It's one of the great things about this site. I can do a little whoo hoo and not feel like I'm bragging because everyone understands the importance in the little things like this.

mockingbird.. i am afraid to think about how it's going to feel when I reach my goal.  If I'm this excited to be in a 14, and have lost around 20lbs, I'm going to be untolerable to be around when i hit my goal!    If our milestones are about the same, and you want to see about setting up some kind of email motivation/cheering/support  system, let me know!
