Whoo Hoo - 2 Miles!

Quote  |  Reply
I can't believe it!!  Like some of you, i'm doing the Couch to 5K plan, and was really nervous about doing "Week 5 - Day 3" which had me running 2 miles with no stops.  This is a HUGE leap for me.  The most I had ever run was just two days before - 3/4 mi without stopping.  But last night  I DID IT!!!   Yeah!!  I felt tired, but good.   I was so excited!

It's amazing to think that 5 weeks ago I was completely winded after running for 90 seconds......

Congrats! It is a great feeling, isn't it? It is also amazing how our bodies adapt so quickly to exercise and allow us to improve in a realitively short period of time.

Way to go!
Way to go....  YEAH!  So it really does work...?
That's so great! I am really excited for you!
Awesome job!! If you don't mind me asking, how did you train do that? I have no endurance myself and am looking to be able to run more then a lap....^^;;;

EDIT: woops- my bad. Saw that site, and shall have to try it! ^^
Congratulations pbair, that's fantastic!!!  I think one of the most motivating things about running are the new milestones, either your own or someone else's.  Huge congrats!!
I R Jealous! Good job!
YOU are awesome!  Congratulations!
thanks guys!  I had commited to run with my SIL the next morning, and boy howdy, was I not ready.  Much harder.  Made it about a mile and then had to walk the rest.  In all fairness to myself, it was less than 12 hours after my big 2 mile run, but disappointing none the less.  I'm all psyched up to run tomorrow morning though!  Whoo - bring on week 6 of the Couch to 5K!

(eeek - just looked at week 7 - 2.5 miles every day.  ouchie.)
ALRIGHT!!! Way to go!!
Same thing happened to me!  It really feel great!  Nice to know someone else has the same happiness.  Great going!
That's awesome!!  IMPRESSIVE!  :)

That's really encouraging! Especially since I'm starting the couch to 5k plan today.
Good luck to both dracodf and J_Wystup!  I love this plan!  I just finished my week 6 day 3 yesterday (another 2.25 with no walking!!!)  We can do this!!!!
