I love to watch movies, that is when I have time. The best ones are in the theaters. It was my 2year old birthday so we took him to his first movie to the theater. It was shrek the third. He loved it that's all he says now is shrek, he wants shrek everything. Well any way I was kinda disappointed in the movie it was'nt as good as the first two. Do you think there would be a fourth.

I love all kinds of movies!
I'm a huge movie freak!  I often go to movies alone.  Not because I have to, but because I want to.  I love love love movie watching!!!
i go to the movies aalll the time.  I live right by a movie theater so when my friends and i get bored we go watch movies. i think i've seen every movie thats out right now:D
i love movies and I just got Netflix since I can't go to the thaters as much as I'd like to anymore so now I'm a bigger movie freak. This weekend I watched 4 movies! Deja Vu (loved it) Stomp the Yard (loved it) Live Free or die Hard (liked it) and Fantastic Four Pt. 2 (so-so). There is a drive-in movie theatre about an hour from here that I go to once in a while cuz the movies are cheap and plus I love the drive-in so cool, no loud onoxious(sp?) people bothering you!

Oh and I love shrek but I'm waiting until it comes out on DVD to watch it because I also heard it's not so good. My fav. kiddie movie is "over the hedge" I love that little squirell sooo funny! LOL
I think they should come with a shrek that they have babies but they are human and not a oger, I think that would be funny
for kiddie movies all I mainly watch is winnie the pooh my two year can't get over it. Last night he was in his room and he took off his pj and put on a old winnie the pooh costume and came ouy of his bedroom and says poo poo, that's what he calls him poo poo So Cute
There most certainly will be.   2010 I believe.  It's already in the works.

Of course it could always be scrapped before then,  but with the money this thing pulled in, I hardly think that's going to happen.
i love movies but i'm discerning.  i don't like the blatant commercialism and i don't think it's necessary to expose toddlers to it.  kids love time with their parents, and they don't care whether it's playing soccer or reading books or cruising a museum or seeing a movie.  i think the last option is the worst; why train kids to want to sit still and watch a screen?  why do it when they're 2?
Huge movie lover here!!!
There aren't supposed to be any movie lovers on here.  Why sit on your butt for 90 minutes to 2 hours when you could be outside, running around in circles and losing weight?  Get out of the theater and onto the track!

*ducks*

(Actually, I'm one of you)
i LOVE movies!  BTW transformers was GREAT!!!  And i never watched/ liked the cartoon growing up, either.
Total movie buff here..have been for years.

Stopped buying them this past year, only bought like 10 to add to my collection of over 650 DVD's but I have rented another 250 this year from Netflix.

Transformers was great and I did watch the cartoon :)

I try to get out to the movies at least once a week, but I watch at least 5-10 movies each week at home.

But I do have a 65" WS HDTV as well as a THX surround sound setup in my house, so with the exception of having to wait for films I actually prefer to watch them at home over the theater.
I allow my child to watch appropiate cartoons, and Yes they have a time limit each day, and no I do not force them to watch tv, my 2 year old watched winnie the pooh once then he really loved it and wanted to watch it ever since. But we also read more books then he does watch tv he loves books , and walking to the library, and going outside to play . He watches cartoons at the most 30 minutes a day. Which in that is ok if you were to talk any child experts on the case. Like well qualified daycares, or read any parenting books. Which I do alot of I am very particuluar in what my children see on tv. For Example Spondebob is very inapropiate for children, the simpsons well I think you catch my drift, and some cases telavision can be some what educational, it all depends on what you watch the discovery channel is fun to watch for me. and Dr. Phil I learn alot on that show.
I'm all for forcing kids to watch TV.  In fact, I think I'll start up a non-profit organization devoted to the cause.  If you're interested in donating, send me a message.
TV can teach kids a LOT of information.... its not a bad thing, in fact its an amazingly strong tool that can really help children on a wide range of subjects.

Sheltering kids from information doesnt help them...it only hurts them...
i grew up without television, and i definitely wasn't sheltered from information.  i remember every few weeks, we would drive to my aunt's house to borrow her vcr and tv to watch movies.  when she moved across the country, she left her tv at our house, but we still almost never watched it.  honestly, when i was little, i could have cared less...i read a lot, did art projects, baked, and spent lots of time outside.  when i got to be older, i wanted to watch 90210 like all my friends...and when i was finally able to, i was bored and just went back to reading.

TV can teach kids a lot...but kids can learn that stuff from plenty of other places too (books, museums, outdoors, parents, etc.).  everytime i go over to my parent's house, i can see the 3 kids that live next door glued to the television.
