who's the unhealthiest person you know?
whether it's a friend, co-worker or family member.. who has the worst diet you've ever seen? what do they do that's so unhealthy?
the most unhealthy person i know is my cousin. she must consume at least 3000 calories a day, eating nothing but crap.
one time she made her lunch which consisted of a grand-cap blueberry muffin (510 calories) in a bowl, with torn up waffle pieces, mini-wheats, peanut butter, icecream, cool whip, chocolate sauce, teddy grahams, graham crackers, and like 3 raspberries.
and she also likes to make "pizza sandwiches" which is white bread, topped with spaghetti sauce and a couple cheesestrings.
and she makes cool-whip sandwiches with frozen cool-whip as the filling and squares of a chocolate bar as the bread.
there's more, but i'll spare you all.
anyways, who's the unhealthiest person you know?
We've long ceased to be in contact but it would certainly be my sophomore year roommate. She had breast reduction surgery when she was 16 or 17 but put on so much fat the few years following it that her previous D-cups were running over. She didn't eat as un-healthfully as the person the OP described. However, it always amused me that she would claim she was "eating healthy" by loading her dinner plate with veggies and a salad to accompany her main course. She would cover the veggies in butter and loads of salt. Her salad was doused in ranch dressing and covered with gobs of shredded cheese. She had no concept of moderation and I'm certain she downed 3000-4000 calories/day. She also drank diet pepsi like it was going out of style. But it's ok because it was "healthy". She was also on the track and field team doing shot put and discus. She tried to get out of weight lifting whenever possible and nearly quit the team when she was informed she was going to have to start running with the team (1 or 2 miles, I think) for a warm-up.
hes the epitome of unhealthy.
My mother and stepfather. It's so sad. They eat Taco Bell, McDonald's, or takeout Chinese like every single day. When they aren't eating fast food, they are eating deep fried southern crap at church. When they go out to eat it's usually to Outback or something terrible like that. They do not exercise. Ever. It makes me sad, angry, and really scared for them.
On a more humorous note, my mom used to put like a cup of WalMart brand grape jelly in spaghetti sauce when I was growing up (when she still cooked). Why? Why?! Someone at church gave her the idea. Wtf.
I never had a fresh vegetable until I moved out and went to college. No joke.
Grape jelly is added to spaghetti sauce and dipping sauces for mini-weiners as it adds a certain bite.
It's not weird persay, just different.
My brother-in-law. It is so disgusting eating at the table with him that I nearly can't eat. He sits with both his elbows on either side of the plate and literally shovels the food into his mouth. I don't think he even tastes it. One Thanksgiving I saw him take the mashed potates and put it on a slice of bread and then put gravy on it like 5 times.
Well, I think at one time it was me. ![]()
Probably my sister. She was always the thinnest one in my family, even smaller than my father (He's a runner/weight lifter. 6'0" and 175lbs). But now all she eats is bread and cheese. Rarely any meat, and refuses to touch any fruits or vegetables. And she never exercises. She used to be a size six, now she's a size 18. She getting married in a year and wants to lose weight, so all she's done is replace soda with sweet tea. And she hasn't lost anything yet. ![]()
My father. He's just obese and isn't doing anything to change that. He doesn't eat horrifically except that he has a pretty bad Coca-cola addiction. He doesn't do much aside from sit on his ass and watch TV. He has sleep apnea due mainly to his size. I'm afraid for his health as he ages.
it would be my best friend.... she doesnt eat any vegetables.... none... she likes fruit but even that she doesnt get a healthy daily serving of.... she has fried porkchops about three times a week..... we joined a gym together.... while she was going she didnt want to lift weights, certain cardio machines she refused to touch.... and she loves her fast foods.... mc d's, sonic....
now my ex.... he had pretty healthy eating habits by day.... but his problem was he was a night snacker..... he would keep within normal limits all day.... even go to the gym.... but by 9 or 10 at night.... he was scarfing down 7/11 burritos, rolls and cakes like there was no tomorrow..... he was very big.... 6'3" and about 400lbs.... before we got really close i couldn't understand how he was so big.... but after watching his night binges i understood!!! Still i love me a fat man!!!
my friend from my old job, is sooo small, like can just fit into a size 6, and i have NEVER (literally) seen her eat anything healthy. her diet is mainly mcdonalds.and kebabs.
It would have to be a co-worker of mine. We go out to eat often and she eats absolutely NO fruits or vegetables EVER. I've never met anyone who at least didn't like some fruits since they are sweet. She claims it's because she dislikes the texture, and I said, "Um they all have completely different textures." I offered her some of my grapes, and she called them slimy, bananas are mushy, lettuce is gross, etc, etc.
If she's having a burger, it can't even have lettuce or anything but meat, cheese and bread and condiments.
I told her once I couldn't believe she only lived on carbs and protein and she said, "AND sugar!" like that made it better. She also takes several vitamins everyday, I guess thinking that vitamins in pill form do the same thing
as actual real food.
The worst part is, the girl is skinny! It'll bite her in the ass one day, but it absolutely astounds me.
wow. i thought i'd have something to add, but upon reading the other posts, i don't know anyone who's remotely as unhealthy as the people you folks know.

The "old me" was the unhealthiest person I know.... this time last year was my absolute worst. Wanting to be healthier led me here.
But I'm healthier now, and about 100 pounds lighter. ![]()

OK, mine is actually sad, cause he just died!
a cousin, for 2 1/2 years as a teen he would eat NOTHING but some sugary cereal (I forget which), then he changed his mind and it was PBJs for I'm not sure how many more YEARS. That I know of the closest he ever got to a veggie was pumpkin pie. More weird food phobias like above with fruits and veggies.
oh - okay. i can't tell you anything about his eating habits, but let me tell you about norman.
norm was a year behind me in school, and when i moved to town, in grade five, he was already obese. he remained obese through elementary and high school, and i don't think i've seen him since i graduated, but it's a small town and i would hear about him. sweet guy, artistic, funny. community-minded. he got interested in theater in high school (mostly horror-movie make-up stuff) and moved into community theater after graduation. he's also a volunteer firefighter.
i don't think he had a girlfriend all through his teens and twenties, but in his early thirties he married a woman - also obese. they have a beautiful little boy who's now four, and his wife is pregnant with number two.
a few weeks ago norm suffered a massive stroke. he's been mostly unresponsive ever since. i joined an "in support of" facebook group, and now i get the most depressing updates: "Good news! Norm opened his right eye today!"
he's 39.
My best friend Jennifer. She is about 5'7" and a size one. Her meals consist of Snickers bars, any kind of doughnuts, cake, pizza, fast food, etc. and she eats about one meal a day. I have seen her go an entire day without eating until like 8:30 PM. The only real meal she ever gets is when we go to Texas Roadhouse like once a week and she orders a steak with a baked potato and green beans and probably eats a total of 5 bites of the entire thing. She is tired/exhausted all the time and she wonders why. She doesn't exercise either. She worries me! ![]()
1. Breads
2. Junk food
On a typical day, she eats 2-4 slices of toast, waffles or pancakes for breakfast, a handful of chocolate chips or marshmallows in the morning, a few more slices of bread, a chocolate chip granola bar and a handful of crackers for lunch, and snacks of ice-cream, chocolate, marshmallows, crackers, or bread every few hours throughout the afternoon. By dinner time she's so full on bread and junk food that the only thing she can stomach is one more slice of bread. Two hours later, she miraculously grows hungry again, but only for dessert.
And She's so adverse to activity that she actually complains about the walk from the kitchen to the TV.
And yeah, she's stick-thin too. I say, not for long!
My mom. She isn't overweight, but has collected a nice layer of soft fat around her upper body in the last few years because she finally started eating.
However, the food she chose to start eating was what she's always cooked for us. Full of butter, added sugars, probably trans fats, etc. Now she's trying to lose the layer of fat by starving herself again. Her choices drive me crazy! She gets excited when she's sick (probably sick from her poor diet) and loses weight "I lost 9lbs this week!" I've tried to explain things to her but she just wont hear it.
