Wierd question about panties... for the ladies

I want to know if anyone else has this problem. I can't seem to find underwear that fits me. I have very wide hips from side to side, but my butt isn't that big. If I find panties that fit around my hips without cutting off circulation and putting huge dents into my flesh, then the bottom part over my butt just sags like crazy and give me awful wedgies. It doesn't seem to matter what size I am, I can't seem to find anything that fits well. I tend to like "nicer" underwear, hipsters, low-rise, nothing "granny-panty-ish" up to my belly button. Does anyone have a brand they can recommend that they know might solve this problem? I'm tired of always picking at my wedgies or pulling at my underwear.

Lol sounds like you need a thong.  or perhaps a bikini style pantie.  The string part around the hips stretch like crazy so all you have to do is find a bikini stye pair of panties that will fit your butt and the rest will work itself out. :)

i was going to recommend the french cut (jockey) but i guess you probably think of them as granny panties

if you don't like wedgies, you won't like a thong.  "Barely there", a brand I pick up at the Hane's store -- style 2355 -- seems to be the best for those of us who have lost our butts.  They have a huge selection of styles if the bikini (2355) is not what you are looking for.  It is the first pair that have never given me wedgies

I would say Jockey bikini.  It has less material for your butt than the french cut.  I have a friend who has similar problems as you and she just loves those undies. 

I also agree with coach.  When I was tiny and had absolutely no hiney, those were my absolute favorites!  Barely There also made a super comfy string thong, that they no longer make :(

I don't mind wearing a thong, but the thong string tends to be too long so that it actually bunches up or slides out or I have to yank the whole thing up near my belly button just to get it to sit right. :-( It's my darn big hips. In the hips I'm an extra-large or a large, but in the butt I'm probably a medium.

I'll have to try the jockey's and the haynes. I'll be outlet shopping next month and I know they have a jockey store. I think that's even where my boyfriend buys his underwear. Thanks!

soooo comfortable and most of them don't have a butt space until you wear them so they pretty much conform to what you have. and less panty lines than bikini style!

I've got a panty question for you guys.  Where the hell do you get regular ol' white underwear, preferrably multiples in a package, that aren't hih cut or regular .. granny panty style?  All I'm finding is coloured this and coloured that.

CD -- Try Victoria Secret -  I love their stuff and it last forever so even though a bit pricey at first well worth the investment and they do offer go old fashioned white undies - but not in packs - oops sorry

As far as panties that fit no butts but big hips I don't know but years ago there was this one brand that were real stretchy and fit a range of sizes in the same undie they were great for my large size just wish they still sold them

Why is it all the good stuff you find they discontinue??

Another source for good ol' white panties, CD, is Lands End (www.landsend.com). They make nice, good quality, basic underwear. And they have the added advantage of actually sizing their underwear like clothes, so it's easier to get a good fit.

The people that don't like thongs... are the one's that have never given them a chance or have never found a comfortable one!  :) 

I cannot wear boy shorts... but I know women who LOVE them!  They ride up for me... no thanks! 

Wear a thong... you'll never have to pull your undies out again!  ha ha   and the low cut thongs will not reach your belly button!  Try a smaller size... and the key to a thong is that it looks small... but has wonderful stretch around the wasteband!! 

Jockey can be found at Wal Mart for just a couple of $$  and is pretty comfy.  But make sure it says low cut.  

My favorite.... Old Navy!  They come in three packs (neutral, black and gray) for under $5.00 usually!    They are wonderful cotton and comfortable!!

    

I agree with you coppertop. I cannot wear boy shorts. My thighs are just so big they either cut off circulation or they push the shorts parts up and I get a thong out of it. Or cameltoe hahahaha. TMI perhaps.

I think I'll just have to find some really really strechy thongs, and avoid the ones with little straps so they don't cut into my hip flesh so obviously. Or maybe I'll just learn to go commando!

i think these and these are both awesome. not only are they cute, but the lace is super soft and stretchy so they fit great. these are the ones i wear when i want no show through because they don't ever dig in and cause bulges!

i think the thong version especially would work for ya!

haha shanonna, i used to feel that way, but now i'm uncomfortable when i'm NOT wearing a thong.

the only time i wear regular panties is for sleeping or if i'm wearing a billowy skirt!

have you thought of jimmying your thong?  cutting off a little bit of the string so it's not so long and then sewing it up?  That might work.  And it doesn't take a Girl Scout Leader to sew it.
