wii fit anyone?
What do you think about it?
I quite like it, it keeps check of your BMI, weight etc. (even though your mii does blow up in size... or is that just me?)
Anyone else got any thoughts on it?
My Mii got shorter and much fatter. Haha, it's just more of a goal to lose weight so I can make my little animated character cute again. I've only had it two days but so far I love it and to be honest... I'm blowing off my research paper and final projects to play it. Bad I know, but it's so much fun and good for my body. I can't help wanting to do it! And I will get homework done... eventually.
As for the 2-player thing, no 2 people can't be measured at once but my sister and I were doing the yoga together. Just because one isn't being measured doesn't mean they're not getting a workout.
I'm not sure how accurate the weight is same with the BMI, but as a base it's not bad. I take most of the readings it gives me with a grain of salt and know that when I feel healthy I am healthy and hopefully this game will help me get there.

TTOM should be a choice!! haha.
I had to choose "I Don't Know" and now my balance board thinks I'm uneducated in the ways of health and fitness! So embarrassing!
I love the Wii fit! I can't say that it is helped me lose weight, but I do feel better, stronger. It also puts exercise in the forefront of my mind-and makes it fun. I also think more about my posture since I started playing it.

Oh man, I played Wii Fit on my stepdad's console yesterday...and I am a huge fan! I thought it would have been silly/not a workout, but I ended up playing it (and Wii Sports!) for about 2 hours and I am feeling it today!
I am extremely used to weight training and high impact aerobics, but I would totally use this as a fun off-day activity or even a supplement to my aerobics on days I'm feeling lazy. :)
This is my 2nd day with the wii fit and I like it. It is low impact but keeps it fun. I use it on my light exercise days. Other days I bike or run. I am doing radiation so I don't have full energy for someone my age right now but I am working at it...
Has anyone unlocked all the balance games yet? Is there snowboarding?

Yes! There is a snowboarding balance game on the Wii Fit. I don't remember how long it took me to unlock it, though Good luck!
Oh that's great! The ski jump is fun (got a 388) but I snowboard so I am interested in trying that on the wii fit! I guess there is my motivation...must unlock snowboarding........

It can't be too long, since I think I did it the second day. Maybe 120 minutes or so.
I'm Terrible at the tight rope walk.

Aha me too! I always fall off right at the end and I get sooo peeved. I love the fact that I finally unlocked boxing. I love it. My favorite Balance game on it is the one where my mii is a ball and there are a bunch of other miis. I got to level 7 on that on my 2nd try. Im still not for the running in place yet it hurts my knees a little. Im thinking I may drag my tredmill over an run on that.
I've lost 3.4 pounds in 12 days on Wii Fit :D I find myself motivated to exercise with it unlike any other exercise method. I feel like I can really stick with it. Not only that, but my posture has gotten so much better! And the biggest thing yet? I'm getting ABS even though I'm 34 pounds from my goal weight. ABS and BACK DIMPLES (the good kind). I'm so freaking excited.
Gem86.. are you running with sneakers on? If I am doing the running on the wii fit I usually throw my sneakers on first.. other wise it hurts my feet and knees!
Wii fit. is cool. I like it. it did weigh me about 7lbs lighter on our area rug that covers our living room carpet then my scale on tile does. But after i put the extentions on it was only 1lb different. So it's working good.

yes I do wear my sneakers and its helps kinda but its in my basement and Its concrete that I am running on. How do u hold the remote too
I just usually hold the remote in my right hand. I tried it in my pocket but it kept falling out and felt uncomfortable. I unlocked the boxing.. it's a lot of fun! I want to get the wii ski they have ... it uses the balance board and both the remote and nunchuck!
We got one the first day (US) and I've used it almost every day since. I agree with the abs comment--how that happened so fast I have no idea, but I'm not complaining!
I just unlocked the free run and that is great--you can watch tv while running as the pace, etc., is noted with the remote (and I hold it too). I've read it is not too accurate with its distance estimation in that mode, but it's still a great motivator--I have always loathed running and now I want to do it again!
About the WiiSki--I was looking forward to that too, but I just read that with that "game" the board only reads right/left, not front/back like the skiing on WiiFit. Several negative reviews. Darn.
Anyway, I haven't lost any pounds (maybe one) but I have lost inches in the short time I've been WiiFitting. I'm 42 and almost 5'9" and weigh 145ish (all in my thighs--seriously--22.5 inches around each but my waist is 26.5"). Everything is firming up in ways I've never experienced before. I'm really excited! Maybe those thighs will finally de-jiggle-ify! :-)
I just got wii ski and it's fun but you do use the arms for a lot more then the balance board. I tried it with and without the balance board and found it was a lot more fun with the board. The control felt better..
The new Rayman Raving Rabbids game uses the balance board also. It looks like it might be pretty good. There's a trailer on the left side of the page.

On another note, I was explaining the balance board to one of my co-workers, who kept asking if I could trick it somehow, like just push on it with my hands rather than step on it. I couldn't seem to make him understand that the goal of the Wii Fit is to lose weight, not trick the system into thinking that you are working out.
I started doing the running on a stair stepper, you can get a small cheap one for $40 and it helps with the running in place and ups the intensity big time.
