There seems to be no consensus or listing over the calories burned from playing Wii. Any thoughts? anyone know the average burned for half an hour of tennis or boxing?

Hkellick should know this one!

HK!!!!
I can't imagine it would be more than 100 calories an hour.   I've played the wii boxing game and other games at my bro's house and while it was fun it's not like you are doing cardio or anything unless you jog in place while punching.

This article has some information about Wii Sports http://wiinintendo.net/2007/01/15/wii-sports- experiment-results/
I agree with nightc1....I've played it before, and unless you are over-exaggerating everything and purposefully jumping around while playing, I wouldn't even count it as exercise.
i think it totally depends on how aggressively you are playing!  the boxing game can be a nice little workout if you are bobbing and weaving, punching full force.  i've definitely seen fit people break a sweat boxing...haha

I think it depends on who is playing it, too.  I am a runner...I don't do anything upper body...and when I do the boxing game I box full force, bobbing and weaving and go very far in the levels.  I certainly break a sweat and have sore muscles the next day.  So I would disagree with whoever said it's not exercise.  Exercise is relative to how fit a person is...for someone who doesn't do anything, just walking is exercise.

Anyway, my two cents.  Can't answer you on how many calories burned, but hey, it's better than sitting on the couch being sendentary.

Yeah 30 minutes of wii boxing without stretching can lead to sore arms for several days, and really weird looks when people ask what's with you?
