Wii fit: Now that the new has wore off

So I am curious what has become with everyones Wii Fit? I know tons of people swore to use them daily, and this was going to be the fitness gimic that worked.

For me the Wii Fit has become a glorified scale. While it is still fun to play, and I do the Aerobic Features (Step and Boxing, once in a while Hula-Hoop) once or twice a week to switch it up, I am far from using it everyday. It has turned into my off day workout, where the days where i just dont want to work with weights or get on the Treadmill/bike I will hop on the wii fit for 30 min or so.

The Wii Fit is great to track your progress, as compared to other scales its measurements are alot more consistent, and its built into memory really shows your progress.

So whats everyones thought? Great investment or is it another piece of "fitness equipment" doomed to the corner.

Also what is your total time on it, if you care to share?

I am right at 12 hours on mine.

I just got mine a couple of weeks ago and have not used it regularly.  But I do like it. It is fun and tracks you progress or lack there of well.

How much do you all find that it varies from your other scales?  Has anyone compared their weight on a completely accurate scale with their Wii weight?

Guess no one's using their Wii!!!
I bought mine yesterday, and I'm already bored! It's a hell of a scale though. I've compared it to my old one, and they're both equally accurate.

I don't have Wii Fit myself, but I use my sisters.  I think most of the workouts are kinda silly myself, esp the balance stuff, but I think that for someone who is not in that great of shape, it's a great way to get up and get the blood moving.

I would also like to state that I am the household balance champion. (at my mom's house anyway).  I also love the little person that says "THAT'S NORMAL!" at you at the beginning.

llogan10 - we are the same - use it every day as a weight tracker, and sometimes between things for workouts.

However - I think this may be partially due to the time of year.  If it was the middle of winter/rainy season, I'd be much more likely to do the Wii for an hour than go for a bike ride or play frisbee.

I don't think I'd use the Wii to replace my fitness routine, but I definitely think it's fun to play!  I was also kind of delighted when I weighed in a few pounds lighter on the Wii than I do on my own scale. :)

Im still using mine. Between eating less and working out- I have lost 10 lbs in 3.5 weeks. I guess the progress is the main thing I use it for...but we have a treadmill and one of the things we do is set up the free run and run on the treadmill. It makes both boring activities much more fun.

I love my Wii. I would use it more often if I had a convenient spot for it. I currently have to pull it out when I need to use it and if it was right there, I'd use it a lot more often.

I work out a lot and its a good change of routine. I have logged in 14 hours since the first day it was released. So it really isn't used that often. I complete a body test once a day. That's pretty fun.

I have encouraged other people to try it out with me. They are not tecnical or fun like me so bygones. I am by myself alot so its cool to have. Sometimes, I turn down the sound and put my IPOD on and attempt the step program. I've mastered level 1. Level 2 is showing how "uncoordinated" I am.
