Wine, love it!
Does anyone love wine as much as I do? I mean I probably allow about 1/2 my daily calories to drinking good wine. I am losing weight and am very happy.
Sorry. Just ignore this post. It seems to have been misconstrued.
my mom loves wine! what kinda do you drink? my mom likes dry white wine.
I love red wine. I could drink it for breakfast. It is definately my weakness.
I'm on my second glass of wine right now!
It helps me study.
I like white wine. :D I cannot drink a lot, though!
yellowtail pinot noir. yuuuummm...
Sorry people but can we have a reality check??? We all enjoy a drink, but if the OP is seriously taking up 1/2 their daily calories on wine every day (?!) then they're drinking far too much. 600-700 cals = a bottle of red wine. If you're 'happy' being skinny & malnourished with a fatty liver and real chance of cirrhosis, keep going augenblick.....
CC does not promote unhealthy/dangerous diets and lifestyles.....
I'm drinking a glass of red tonight. It's my major indulgence for the week. Loooove a dry red wine.
But. I must agree with GIJane... you aren't drinking 1/2 your calories every day are you? Eventually, that will ruin your body.
So enjoy! But remember, everything in moderation.
Cheers!
G.I. Jane,
I just like wine. I am not suggesting or promoting anything.
Have a great holiday.

By flagging up your love of your bottle of wine a day on a public message board and then declaring you're 'very happy' and 'losing weight' you're promoting a heavy drinking lifestyle whether you intend to or not. (Lot of impressionable people around.... ) Heavy social drinking, especially at home is an increasing health issue.... You feel OK for years and then one day your liver packs up when you least expect it.
But hey, you know best....
I too LOVE wine for so many reasons...just a few of the things it represents to me, love, life, romance, prosperity, fine-living, grace, taste, tranquility, beauty, freedom, and , yes, happiness!
In vino veritas...
"In wine there is poetry"...Robert Louis Stevenson
I love a glass of white sweet muscato
yuummo..
GDDRDLD - I love that! In Wine there is Poetry! ... I love wine too, but it is one my biggest downfalls too especially when it comes to my weight loss progress and watching my calories, I do go overboard on it sometimes and try to practice moderation, it's just so hard and tempting... I sometimes say the wine is like a boyfriend, I love it, devour it, savor it, avoid it, regret it, am shocked by it, uh! it's a love / hate relationship ...
sorayazada, Ah! A girl after my own heart! I too have to "curb my enthusiasm", lets say, for wine when I am in weight loss mode. It's not that the wine has so many calories so much as it lowers my inhibitions and I tend to overeat (understatement). Hope you don't mind I added you as a friend... Read your posts and I think we have some things in common. Cheers!
I love it too. Red Italian wines are my favorite. Chianti classico's, Barbera's, Valpolicella's, Barolo's, Barbaresco's, and for dessert - vin santo! Oh man. I cut back from sharing a bottle with my husband three or four nights a week to 1 glass about three nights a week. It was a painful transition. Mainly because the wine does not taste great the next day. So if you don't finish the bottle, you drink a cold, stale glass from the fridge the next day. It is heart breaking to cork that delicious bottle of wine and stick it in the fridge. But for the sake of health, and my abs that I am trying desperately to uncover, I have made that change. To each his own though. Salud.
