Hello!

Well I've been doing martial arts since I was six years old and I think I might be just a little addicted to it. >.> I just recently moved to a new area and I haven't been able to find any decent school around here, and don't have anyone to practice with (not to mention the fact that I now live in a very tiny place). So I've been feeling like I'm getting more and more out of practice every day.

But! Found my way here and it looks like a nice place to meet other enthusiast. So, hiya!

Hiya...sounds like it's time to start visiting dojo's until you find one you like.  Or rent mat space and start your own sparring sessions.

I've been visiting every one I can find. I found a White Crane dojo, but the instructor was very poor, and taught Okinawan White Crane, where as I prefer the traditional version.

Perhaps you could share mat space and start a club?

Lol, here in lies where I am trying to make more friends. I don't know anyone here to spar with, and sparring yourself only works in Brad Pitt movies. Plus I don't have the funds available at the moment to start a school or rent any kind of space.

What style do you do?

I started with Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido (Aikido with Ki) Tohei style but not Ki Society in a little rogue dojo (Ken Ota), plus a little bit of judo.  I recently switched over to BBJ (Gracie Barra) and learned exactly how bad I am at judo.  Undecided  There are forms, katas, and exercises that one can do on ones own (not that I do them).

If Judo is your thing, you can pick a pole and start practicing your sweeps and techniques on it or a door frame, anything that won't move too much...it gives you something to work with and when you do start with a partner again you have much more strength in your techniques.  One of our judo guys did this because he didn't have anyone to practice judo with for about 6-7 years....his techniques were still excellent.
