Winning by Losing (formerly New Here, Lost 3 lbs (w00t)
Hey everybody.
I just joined a little more than a week ago.
I am here to lose 55 pounds, which is very daunting to me. My weight gain is the result of two pregnancies in two years.
I'm 5'10", and when I got pregnant, I weighed 160 pounds. By the time I had my second child 8 and a half months ago, I weighed 235. I have on and off dieted, and as of today I am 204.8 pounds.
Anybody looking for a buddy to lose pounds with? We can be 'losers' together, hehe. I'd like to do weekly weigh ins with someone, and give and receive support. Anybody interested?

Ok I need to 2 seconds to vent, i am struggling today.....i woke up hungry which has set into motion me feeling hungry every hour on the hour. Seems impossible to be hungry all the time. My calorie counts looks good for the day as a whole...i logged what i plan to eat for dinner so i'll feel obligated to stick to it and not have to make the effort of changing my food log. (lazy maybe but some days it helps me stick to a plan). My bosses all 3 of them are out of the office today so i am stuck here by myself doing 4 peoples jobs literally. which means i should be to busy to eat or maybe i am to stressed and it is making me want to eat. iether way i don't like it! I just ate 160 calorie snack and drank a glass of water, yet i still feel hungry..... Guess it is just going to be one of those days :-(
Anyway, do you all ever have those days were all you want to do is eat and your body is making you think you need to? what do you do, any suggestions?

i am so sorry it took long for my respond but i find those days too however no matter how busy i am i tend to cut my snack into lots of pieces and eat it slowly ill eat a piece do a whole note than another that usually helps me stay full and stasfied are you eating thigs high in fiber????
OK ladies here is my weekly weight in today the scale kept going back and forth so i am sticking with the high number since the difference wasnt much only . 4 so i am still 230 this week the scale went back and forth on 229.6 and 230. You judge.
Hi Stacy, I just joined and to reach my personal target I've been eating 1400 cals/day.
I never thought about calories before I started using a CC and I was shocked to find out how little I am "supposed" to eat to reach my ideal body type. Needless to say since I used to just eat constantly, I now feel HUNGRY all the time too. I picked up psyllium husk capsules at my health food store and took a few with water, they're basically just 0 cal natural fibre and they expand in your stomach so you feel full. They really helped me because at night I find it very hard to sleep hungry.
I'm determined to lose the last 20 pregnancy pounds (my son is 4 now hehe!) so I'm sticking to the program no matter what, life is too short to be feeling self-concious/puffy all the time!
Ok so I survived my day of stress and went over my calories needed to loose weight but not over my total calories burned so i wouldn't gain weight (small success, but I'll take it) I weighed in this morning and am at 140.5 from 141. not overly exciting but given my end of week and weekend, i am not complaining. the scaled moved and in the right direction so i'll take it. I did start working out again last week and i feel better for that, as well as i am starting to see a difference in my clothes. I took measurements today so i can see if maybe i am building lean body mass while loosing fat and maybe that is why the scale isn't showing but clothes feel better/bigger.
My stove broke Wed Night so i haven't been able to cook keeping in my calorie range while eating out/ordering in or microwave/easy meals has not been easy but I didn't gain this week so i think i won that battle. Stove should be fixed later today. YEAH!!! I also tried on my goal pants again this weekend for motivation. I was able to get them on and buttoned....i wouldn't wear them in public and it definately wasn't comfortable but they did button which is progress.
How was your week and weigh in?
I'm new here and didn't know if you guys were open to having someone else weigh in with you? I want to loose a total of about 77 pounds!! Its a lot of weight and could use all the help I can get! If I can lend support for others that would be even better!

you are welcome to join and we are here for support both jkserig and i weigth in Saturdays and post them down. You can do a diffrent day or do that day as well. Keep us posted and lets do this together any questions let me know if i can help i will.

That is awesome!!! I am so excited for you!! I weighed myself in too. I am at 247, its pounds down!!! I still have a way to go, but its a start!!! I've mostly just been keeping track of what I eat. I'm going to join the gym so I hope I follow through!!! Great job on your weight loss!!!!
Ok so I weighed in this morning and I am down to 140. That makes it 1 pound in 3 weeks. At this rate it may take me forever to get to my goal weight. I am happy the scale is moving downward, just wish it could move a little faster. I wasn't able to workout last week, but I am feeling better and have my gym clothes with me today so I am hoping to start my week off right.

hey Stacey look at this way 3 weeks ago you were 1 pound heavier. Give it time you will get there i will give you the advice my brother game focus on a month make a goal for that month so my goal has been to loose 5 pound s a month which turns out to be a little over a pound a week but is paying off in two months i have removed over 10 lbs and if i continue i will achive my goal. Because if i continue the same in half a year that is 30lbs down.
i also want to know what are you following because 1 pound in two weeks seems too little. However the first month i decided to change my weight i didnt loose any weight but lost a lot of inches.

ok ladies i just did my weigh in like before scale went back and forth so i stuck with the higher number which is 227 so i am 2 l bs lighter than last week 7lbs to my first goal which it is 20lbs
So I had a rough week and weekend...I have opted not to wiegh in this week and see what next week holds. I would guess I am up since ate out for 3 days while out of town and went to a wedding (yum wedding cake:-)). I figure why drive myself crazy of this week and by next week I should at least be back to 140.

i know how you feel this week is crazy trryng to get ready for my vacation i have started my days good but towards dinner i am lacking so i dont know what the scale will say by the end of the week however i am still making good choices so focus on that and you will be fine for next week

So... I weighed in this morning and was up 2 lbs. Not sure exactly why but i haven't been great about my eating habits, logging food and it is that TOM so it could be a combination of things. I did also take measurements and those seem to about the same or slightly better which is good. I am currently doing a toning DVD everyday and was so sore last week. I am wondering if i am still building lean body while loosing fat and thus the scale does not move but the tape measure reveals all.
The goal is to not get discouraged by the lbs on the scale, keep plugging away at the eating habits and daily exercise. As well as drink more water incase i am retaining salt/water.
Hopefully next week will be better....How did you all do? Good luck!

i am on vacation i didnt do any calorie count over there and enjoy pop like crazy however i maintain myself active which help because i was -.02 less today from my last weight in so i am happy with that. So my goal is to cont focusing and cont with my weight challenge.
Good Morning Ladies.....After some emotional and physical struggles. i seem to be moving in the right direction again. I weighed in this morning at 140.5 so that is one pound down from my last weigh in but still a little up from about a month ago. With a renewed spririt and goal i am approaching this new week/month.
