Within the first 7 hours of waking up...
On average how many calories do you consume? I ask this because I wake up every day at 4:20 and I eat my first meal at 6:00. By the time 12:00 rolls around I've already eaten a good bit, usually 600 calories and it's not even lunch time! I wait until after my 1:00 workout to eat my next meal which is usually about 300 calories. Dinner is at 5:30 and I pretty much eat up whatever calories I have left leaving enough for dessert, which is a must for me! I was just wondering if compared to others I am spacing out my calorie needs efficiently due to being such an early riser. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT! :-)
I typically eat 2,000 calories in the first ten hours I am awake—but I eat 3,000 or more in a day. My body is small but hungry.
In the first seven I eat little. I wake up between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. every morning, start eating sometimes at 9:00 a.m. but typically around 11:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m., eat my last meal at 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m., and go to sleep after midnight, typically. (I have never slept more than three or four hours. It's just the odd way that I am wired.)
I wake up at 6:30 and eat around 8 (when I get to work) Ususally first meal is around 250 calories, then at lunch maybe 400, then maybe a snack. So by the time dinner comes around, I've ususally had about 800-900 calories. I found if I go over 400 calories before lunch I always go over my calorie alottment for the day.
1000 probably.
My normal day starts at 3:30am here it is:
4am Breakfast 225 calories
7:30am snack 120 calories
10:00am snack 130 calories
12:00 Lunch 225 calories
3:00pm after work out usually about 300, which leaves me 500 to 800 for dinner depending on how long I exercised.
9 AM breakfast -- 200 or 300
12 lunch - 300 or 400
3PM afternoon snack - 200
this is on 1500 a day + exercise calorie

Sounds a lot like my day! By the time most people around me are eating their breakfast I'm already on my second snack! :-P
I thought about this and realized within 7 hours of waking up, I'm almost done for the day!
8 am, breakfast, 800 calories
12 noon, lunch, 400 calories
3 pm, tea time 300 calories
7 pm supper 100-200 calories
This looks a little weird, but it's what works for me after years of trying different things. I wake up hungry as a zombie needing fresh brains, and I feel like I eat constantly until 3 pm. But I don't get snacky at nighttime, which I've read is a real problem for a lot of people. I wake up snacky.
I am a lot like cardamon-tea, waking up like I can eat a cow.
I usually wake up at around 5 AM, so...
5/6 AM breakfast: 500 to 800 (sometimes 1000!)
I eat BIG breakfast which consists of EVERYTHING. My day won't start without a satisfactory meal, or else I get real b*tchy. Letting myself be spoiled in the first meal prevents me from binging the entire day.
10 AM snack 100
Depending on my breakfast, I allow for some fruits or a sweet potato (about 120g and 100 kcal, yet very satisfying!) around this time. This also prevents me from feeling over-starved at noon, thus I do not over-eat during lunchtime.
12 noon 300 to 400
Steamed veggies and fruits. And if I happen to have eaten less for breakfast, I make up for the nutrient and calorie here.
3 PM snack 100
A little something before I exercise.
6 PM supper 200 to 800
My supper depends entirely on whatever calorie is left of the day. Generally, if my breakfast's large, my supper's small.
But even if I have already exceeded my daily recommended calorie intake at this point, I still eat a supper anyway, only with something low-cal.
Sounds like me. I am in this sick routine of waking up at 4:00am or before. Cannot sleep. Get up, have coffee, do some stretching and leg lifts, light weights before work. My breakfast is 2 big bowls of cereal, fat free milk. I mix cereals, cheerios, wheat flakes and I just found a new cereal that is only 60 calories a cup. It is Natural Nutrition Red Wheat Cereal
I like it and can eat a lot of it. I usually eat 4 cups of cereal before work.
Then I eat an apple for a snack. I am always starving by 10:00am. But don't snack. Only the apple. Then I eat lunch at 12:00. Lately I have been hooked on a wrap with egg beaters and hot sauce and a baked sweet potato with nothing on it. It is surprisingly very good. I also eat subway turkey wraps with veggies a few times a week. Usually a sweet potato with that also. I found some really good wraps that are 90 calories each. Light Original - Flatout Light
I put turkey, eggbeaters pretty much anything I want in them.
After work I workout for an hour. 40 minutes on treadmill, 15 on elliptical. Then go home and eat dinner.
For dinner I eat more food, by then I am starving.
I'm a college student so I don't wake up at the same time everyday!!! Sometimes it's 6:30 am and others is like 12pm ( on the weekend!!!! :D)
Anyways I try to eat every four hours and unlike some people my breakfast is usually small... I try to save my calories for dinner lol
Breakfast is about 200 calories
2nd meal is about 200 calories
3rd meal is also about 200 calories
and Dinner is usually about 400-500 calories
I know it's not healthy to eat under 1200 calories a day but I try not to eat more than 1100 because I really do not exercise at all. Eating under 1100 is the only way I don't feel guilty about eating lol... I need to stop being lazy and start exercising so that I can eat more!!!
