Any women 5ft. 9in., what's your goal weight?

I'm not really sure what I should be looking at for a goal weight.  I'm sitting at 173 right now, and years ago I was cumfy at 165, but I can't see it right now.  Just wondering what others goals are.

145. i'm 44, have had 3 kids. weighed 140 as an athletic teen. im at 150! almost there...
ama, i'm 5'10" and my initial goal was 162, which is what i weighed for many years before going up to 190.  so i set that as my goal, but things were going very well when i reached that point so now i have reached 150 as my maintenance weight.  good luck--and keep at it---you'll get there, too!
Yeah, I'm kinda thinking about 150 as my goal weight.  I have a large frame, and I know I don't want to go lower than that.  I guess what I'm not to sure about is the muscle fact.  I've never had much muscle on my body, I'm going to try and gain some, and I'm not sure how it will affect my body.
well, for one thing, having more muscle means it's easier to burn off extra fat.  but if you mean once you've reached your goal, i'm not sure, i think it would be healthy to have a reasonable amount of muscle.  you don't have to go to "body-building" extremes, just be strong enough to do whatever needs to be done!  with small children, that's a lot.  mine are all grown up and moved away, so i don't have much heavy work to do anymore!
I'm trying to put on some muscle now, but I'm not sure what it's going to look like on my body.  Maybe I'll be happy at 165.  But I know for sure I should have more muscle on my body.  I guess maybe I should just play it by ear.  It just helps me to have a concrete number to work towards.
Hey,

I am almost 5'10 with a medium frame and I was told 156 lbs by this site. I am at about 157 and have been staying here for quite awhile and I am not really planing to go any lower. I am going to keep toning up and hitting the gym. I really stopped "trying" to lose at 160 and the last few came off--I think my body is happy where it as I keep coming back to this weight especially after TTom. Good luck--you will know it when you hit it!

alanna
I'm a 5' 8.5" with a medium/large frame.  My doctor told me I should be happy at 155.  I'm shooting for 145.
Good luck!
I'm 6'4 and weigh in at 166lbs... shooting to get back up to 170lbs... been dealing with alot of stress and have to admit I haven't been eating much.
ama, I found this calculator the other day and thought it was pretty interesting. Linky
I like that calculator mfchill.

I am 5'8.5" and weigh 130. I am kinda maintaining but hoping to lose just a few. According to the calculator I am just about right since I have a small frame and shouldnt go below 126.
I'm 5'10", 143, and trying to find a way to stay around 140.
Hi...I'm 5'9", with a medium frame and my home scale says I'm 182 (just bought it) but yesterday with my personal trainer the doctor's scale said 191 :'(....so I am not sure which is right.   I guess I should go by the doctor's scale.

My goal is 140
I am 5'9 and I think that my goal is 155 My husband doesn't want me to get too skinny that my bones stick out.  I would love to be 145 but I will compromise with my hubby.  This site says that 152 is right for me at a medium build.   Hope this helps :D
I'm 5'10 and shooting for 145 (which I maintained for years prior to having my triplets).  I have a small build on my top half and a medium build on my lower half.  I'm at 172 now and have been "on plan" for a month now.
Thanks you guys!  At least now I know what I should be shooting for.  I'm thinking that I would like to be around 150.  I wouldn't mind a healthy amount of fat on me, and I know I would look kinda gross if I go below that, my collar bones stick out something awful when I'm thinner!  I carry most of my weight on the lower part of my body, and it only got worse after the babies.

I don't think that number is unreasonable considering I have a large bone structure.  Thanks for all the replys!  It really helps to hear where other people are/want to be.
That's exactly where I want to be,  I'm 5'10", and had gotten up to 198, now down to 189, and shooting for 149.  Same thing happened to me - I have two kids 12 and a half months apart, both by c-section, and it wreaked havoc on me!  I just recently got serious about it, so I'm happy to see progress and will keep up the cardio workouts!  Good luck to you!
I'm 5'9.5" and my goal weight is like 125. I'm still around 138 right now, so not sure if that sounds crazy for you. i'm medium build, but i'm 19, so i definitely don't have kids or anything like that.
I'm 5'9.5", 29 years, no kids (yet) currently hovering around 211.  I have a medium frame, and am surprised at how well I'm wearing these 18s!

My first goal is 175.  I've plateaued comfortably there before, and felt pretty healthy.  When I first got to that weight though (age 23) I felt really lethargic and out of shape.

My goals:  trim up and feel healthy and energetic.  I've been doing water aerobics for the last five months or so, and during that time, I didn't lose weight, but my body reshaped -- I have a lot more waist now than I did last fall when I was 15 lbs. lighter.

If I get to a 14, and I'm still heavier than 175, I'm going to reassess.  I'm much more active now than I've ever been, so if I weigh in with more muscle but I'm still trim, I'm fine with that. :)
I'm 5'10", 22 years old, and have a 14 month old and a 6 week old. I gained about 50 lbs with my first pregnancy, and since I spent most of my 4 months that I was not pregnant recovering froma c-section, I didn't lose much weight. I have been back with CC for about 3 weeks and have lost 7 lbs. I am currently at 162 but my goal is 140, what I weighed in high school. It is neat to see what other women that are taller have for goals. Good luck to you all!
i'm 5'8.5", 23 years old...once weighed 140 and now weigh 210...i'm on a mission to get back to 140...i dunno if i would wanna lose more from there...i was a size 6 when i was 140...i want to be a size 4...so maybe 130?

EDIT: according to the link above...131-160 is my healthy weight range...so i'm guessing 131?...
