Any women (or men) doing or want to start strength training?

I just started working out with weights two weeks ago.  This is my second time of commiting myself to lose weight/fat with a combination of strength training, cardio, and diet.  I am presently following something very similar to Bill Phillips Fit For Life with some nips and tucks as I workout at home.

I am looking for someone or many to start the 12 week program with me so we can motivate and support each other.  The program is available at Body for life.com and works as I mentioned above.

Also, if anyone has any strength training experience please share your motivational stories with me.  I'd love to hear them.

Well im not on that program but I have been weight lifting for 3-4 years now. So if you need help just drop a post. Motivational story wise other than making big progress in how much lift i can do with many reps is pretty much it. I guess my biggst acomplisment was me 980 hip sled for 8 reps. ~sighs and thinks back~ cant do it much anymore do to a injured knee. :( maybe one day it will be strong enough to do it again.

I just started doing Body for Life about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it!  It's the best type of workouts for me personally.  It's quick, easy to understand, and a heck of a workout every day.  I'm not seeing alot of movement on the scale with all the lifting, but I sure can see a difference in the way my clothes fit!  I've lost an inch on each thigh in 3 weeks!  Good luck with the workouts and losing weight!  This is the best site I have found for support and motivation!
Karak.  Really? An inch.  wow.  That's fantastic.  See that's just what I need to hear because man, I've been working hard!  I've lost a few lbs but that's combined with dieting.  I have yet to see an actual change in my physique but at this point I'm willing to 'keep the faith'.  I mean if it's worked for others why not me?  But see I get to this place where I start to think I'm not doing it right, it won't work etc, etc,.  Thanks for the post.
No problem!  Keep it up!  You'll see a difference.  Take pics as you go, maybe once a month.  That way you can see for sure the difference you are making when it might not show on the scale!
I just started reading Body for Life for Women and will be starting the program hopefully next week.  This is the first program where it deals with not just exercise or diet but also the pysche of a woman as a 3 part plan.  Gotta do this!

Karak, that's awesome.  Gives me motivation to get charged up and start!
