Ok, ladies from the women over 40's posting group, here's where we'll start. Everybody put your starting weight, how much water you drink on average per day, and how many minutes and or days per week you exercise and what that exercise is.

ADDED SECTION BELOW:

Then starting Tuesday June 26, post your weight (if you weigh daily, if not just state what day you weigh yourself), how much water you drank for Monday....and your minutes of exercise. BUT>>>>> keep track of it too...b/c on Monday I want you to also post a total for the week. The daily posts will tell the rest of us how much harder we have to work to beat each other, which will help motivate us!!!

Hi there, I am finally getting this whole calorie count thing and it is working.  I am down four pounds.  I wanted to lose 11 pounds and I am really happy with the loss that I am at now.  It is really easy as long as I keep watching the calories.  I am so thankful for Calorie-Count.com.....

Mon. not enough water, elliptical for 20 and weight trained for 25 min. (with my husband)

Tue. try to drink 60 oz. water, elliptical for 20 min. weight trained for 25 min. ( w/hubby)
Hiya group!  I think of this as more of a DAILY challenge rather than weekly, especially because we report in each day.  That works for me.  I still can't bring myself to weigh in, I'm sorry.

Yesterday:

H2O 2 liters+

Exercise 30  minutes walking dog & 70 minutes on treadmill (I go 5 km p/hr at an incline of 5.5%)

Calories: 2300

I found I can really put away the water if I have a big glass and bottle at the computer table, and I read through CC threads.  :)

I'm gonna whine all day.  Must have hit a pesky plauto.  Very frustrating.  And I was SO good yesterday.

Water:  8 glasses, plus lots of coffee and couple glasses green tea. (I could float away)

Exercise: walk/jog 2 miles, 5 minutes on the floor doing miscellanious exercises.  Putter around home, mostly sit in front of computer.

Calories: 1,200

Weight: STILL 192

I've been 192 for four days and was so sad this AM, that it didn't go down any...................I can not try any harder.  I will console myself by saying.......at least it didn't go up.  I have always hit plautoes  and just have to grit my teeth and suffer through them.  Some have lasted a week, then magicly I wake up some morning and am down 2#, so I will remind myself that this is what is going to happen any day now (right).
Ohio45 sounds like you are doing great to me!!! Keep up the good work and you will get there.  Patience is a hard thing to have. 

I drank 38oz yesterday ( Tuesday) and did some crunches.  That is it. Not so great.  I baked four loaves of bread.  Not good because now i have ate some.

Tuesday Stats:

Weight: Monday's only

Exercise: Walking the dog 45 min, riding the bike 55 min.

Water: 56 oz.

More water needed!!
Tuesday:

H20: Only about 10 ozs.

Exercise: None--I didn't feel well and only took in 625 calories for the day.

Weigh-in = Saturday
just starting on this challenge.

I will post today and again next Tuesday. I don't think I can face the scale every day let alone record it.

Starting challenge weight 166.5 (today 7/11/07)

Water about 32 oz yesterday ( will have to work on that)

Exercise : Run/Walk 2 min each 50 min to reach 3.1 miles.  goal is to get to 5 K (3.1 miles) running. I did it 2 times this week will try again on Fri and 2 days strenght training.
Hi girls, just coming to this thread to post our stats keeps us so much  more aware of how we're taking care of ourselves.  Good, eh?  lhoch, you did crunches which is more than I can say for the last MONTH, so I applaud you!  Maybe if it had a different name I'd be more willing to do them.

Wednesday:

weigh in Monday

Exercise: 30 min. walking the dog, 60 minutes bicycling (11 mph!), 20 minutes bicycling (8 mph, I rode to the store to get lettuce and yogurt for dinner)

Water: 80 oz., I think my bladder is adjusting because it seems like I'm not peeing as much as I was when I first kicked up the water intake.

Morning everyone.  I have the scale with weights.  I jumped on and it started to go over 192 which has been my weight for 4 days, so I quickly hopped off and am not recording it now.  I'm going out for a walk/jog later and will record it after that as it always droppes then.  I ate calories over my daily goal, so am cutting back for 5 days to equal it out. 

12:00 pm  edit to above: Just jogged 2 miles and walked one.  Jumped on the scale and it is exactly at 192.  And actually I lied before because I did not enter ounces.  I don't know if most ppl do or not.  But I was 192.2 before, so lost 2 ounces. 

Wednesday

water:  16 oz, green tea 16 oz, coffee 6 mugs.

exercise:  5 minutes of miscellaneous on the floor

Thurdays goal:  more walking/jogging, staying more active during the day, more water.
For Wednesday:

H20: 50 ozs.

Exercise: 45 mins. Weight Train class

Weigh-in day = Saturday
Thursday -

H2O 1.5 liters

Exercise Dog walk 1 hr 30 min., treadmill 1 hr. (watched "Ants")

Calories 2450

Thursday was a special day for me.  I had the evening to myself and indulged in Absolut Citron, pizza from the supermarket which isn't actually pizza as we know it, cookies when I got my hair cut (why do hair salons lay out a spread like that, it's not nice), POPCORN (NOT air-popped) while watching a horror movie and vino before going to bed so I wouldn't be so scared from the movie - didn't work, still had a nightmare but it was thrilling.  It was a really great day.

Water: 72 oz.

FRIDAY AM.  no change on scale till I walked/jogged 5 miles.  Now at noon;

weight: 191.3     finally!  I was so sick of seeing the 192.  ohhh I can't wait to start seeing numbers that begin with 18?

water:  8 glasses yesterday.  I am faithful to that number.  Diet drink and lots of coffee.

exercise:  2 mi yesterday, 5 mi today.

My problem didn't happen all at once.  It helps me so much to count calories.  Pieces, bites, and handfulls can add up to so much.  Oh, and the random treats, got to be several a week then everyday.  This buildup happened over the years.  I wasn't even aware.
Thursday:

H20: 50 ozs. (I cannot seem to get this back up.)

Exercise: Nothing much, really.

Weigh-in day = Saturday
Friday

Weight: On Monday

Water: 80 oz.

Exercise: Walking the dog 35 minutes, riding bike (12 mph) 45 minutues, riding bike (8 mph) 25 minutes
Friday

H2O 1.50 liters (slight exageration, includes tea)

Exercise: walking dog 2 hrs. 15 min., treadmill 2 hours (I know that seems excessive but I've got this WEDDING dinner today, groan!)

Calories 2500

And, ta-dah, I finally stepped on the scale, even though I am constipated (too much info, sorry) and starting TTOM.  It's exactly where it was last month at this same time.  Surprising really?!
SAT. am (did edit at 4:00 as scale dropped so THIS is my weight)

weight:  191

water:  8 glasses, 2 glasses of green tea, 6 C. coffee

exercise:  yesterday, went  5 miles.

I do better with water by filling my glass and chugging it on the spot!  Morning, twice at midday and at night.

I'm going to be gone today so made deviled eggs, (lite mayo) last night, to have for when I walk in the door tonight starved, while I fix dinner.

lost:  from last Sat to today 3 pounds.  But the 3# extra was partly water weight.

Now I still have late afternoon and evening to get through and I've eaten all my 1,200 calories for the day.  Whatever I eat, if anything tonight, I'll enter on tomorrows food dairey.  A piece of soy bacon and an egg sound good now, for the least calories.  At the store I saw a tiny bag of Cheetos for $.50 and was going to buy them and read they had 160 calories.  It looked like one mouthful.  To think I used to buy a box of Cheeto's and finish most of it in one evening watching TV.
