Any women starting p90x?
Hi, I'm new here. I'm going to start the P90X program on Jan. 5th. I was wondering if there were any women out there that are either thinking about starting the program or already doing it. I need to lose around 30lbs and hopefully this will work for me. I know I need to change my eating habits so I'm going to try and follow the eating plan too. Just curious if anyone has had great results with this plan.
I've never followed the eating plan, but I can tell you that the workouts are awesome. Some of the exercises can be tough, but do what you can. Keep a record of evreything and you'll see the results. You'll get stronger and leaner.
Yes, Yes, Yes, results abound. I look sensational...kidding. Seriously though, that stuff works. Especially if you add it to your additional routine. I follow the Japanese food pyramid so I don't do the eating plan that came with it. Good luck. Send me a message if you need a cheer mate.
I just started P90X Lean last week. I am really enjoying it except for the yoga. The yoga is okay, just very difficult for me.
I am not really following the eating plan like I should be doing.During Christmas it is hard to follow any plan.
I am already seeing some results in my arms. I love the shoulders and arms routine. I had to modify a bit due to a shoulder problem. Even so, I was able to do the entire routine and the bonus round. When I was through, my biceps were pumped like I have never seen them pumped before.
I plan on doing Classic after I finish the Lean. I'm trying very hard to maintain my weight through the holidays. I'm hoping Lean will help.
Good luck to you on starting P90X. I think it is the best workout program I have ever done. Keep us posted with your results. I'll post with what I am doing, too.
My husband bought it over a month ago, and it still is sitting in the same spot, gathering dust. I've told myself "yeah, I really got to start that", but without a specific plan, it was too easy to coast along and put it off.
So THANK YOU!!! Jan 5th seems like as good a day to start as any, so I'm up for it. I have some serious "lack of motivation" issues, so maybe we can spur each other on and keep ourselves accountable!
I just ordered this myself. I have been doing a lot of research and I hope it works. I am sure it will because it sounds like a lot of hard work. Good Luck to you and keep me posted! It would be nice to talk to you as we do this together!
I would love to do this program, but it's a little too pricey for me. :(
It is worth every penny. I have been doing these workouts for over a year. I have had great results and continue to improve. You are going to love it!

Were your results weight loss, loss of inches, lowering BF%, increasing strength/muscle tone, or all of the above?
hi ive had the videos for quite sometime and would love to do them with you. so far ive only done the abs video which is realllyy good. Im getting the bar installed in by basement this week.
good luck!
this is great!! I'm so glad to hear that there are women doing the program and some that are thinking about it. I'm a little disappointed about my DVD's. I bought them on ebay and realized yesterday that some are badly scratched and will not work so I need to return those. Hopefully they will be replaced soon. I'm going to take my measurements and weight on Jan. 4th and start on the 5th. I hope 2009 is the year I can finally get back into shape and stay there. Anyways, good luck to everyone!! As Tony says, "Bring it" (how corny is that) :-) - I like it.

is it possible to have a work-around for the bar, as I don't have one up and not even sure where I could have one installed.
you can use the resistant bands in place of the pull up bar.
Hey Kat- are you gearing up to start?
I've already done the fit test and am just doing my measurements now. Were you thinking of posting your info and progress? I'm game if you are.
I had my husband put up my bar over the weekend and took my beginning pictures. I am going to do the program in about an hour after I take my daughter to preschool. Hopefully I will be able to move tomorrow!!![]()
you'd better be able to move...tomorrow is Plyometrics, whatever that's supposed to be!
As far as my workout, I feel like I only did half of it, because I didn't realize how much the bar/bands are used. The Ab Ripper was tough! I know it's physically possible because the video people did it, but my body didn't seem to want to move that way.
Day 1 verdict- ouch, but good.
hey, just finished chest and back. It killed me just because I have a shoulder injury. I bought this before it happend. What a bumber - I'm going to keep going though, I'll do what I can. I think I'll talk to the Dr about it. I didn't get my measurements yet. Boy, am I slacking or what. Anyways, good luck! Hopefully I can log in tomorrow. If not, I'll catch up on the weekend. Bring it! ![]()

I'm feeling it in my shoulders today, and that's minus an injury! Yikes! Talking to your doctor is a good idea.
savanah, we bought it at a local store...hope they find your order!
89 days to go!
So far so good- I've dropped 1.4pds in the past 2 days (water weight, I'm sure, but it's still nice to see them on a downward trend again).
Plyometrics looked easy at the beginning, but by the end of the hour, I probably looked like a newborn giraffe stumbling around the living room.
2 down, 88 workouts to go
That's what I keep telling myself- after all, who can't do a measly 90 days? (another mantra to keep myself motivated)
Has anyone been on the beachbody.com or milliondollarbody.com sites? The million one is a way for them to make more money- you have to pay to join :(
