Have any of you ladies found an effective deodorant/andtiperspirant?&nbs p;I don't know if it's an age thing, a gender thing or an exercise thing but I am finding it harder to stay dry (when I'm not exercising of course).

MITCHUM!
that stuff works so good. Put it on once in the morning, and you're solid for the DAY. Never in my life have I used a deoderant that works so well; no lie.

I use Certain Dri at night sometimes. I think the theory behind it is it shrinks your sweat glands, or your skin pores or something. Not sure, but it works.
As for a good daytime deodorant, my latest fave is Degree Ultra-Clear. That stuff is great because it keeps responding throughout the day.

I have to be careful cuz I recently have had bouts of suppurative hidradenitis which is basically infections and blockages of the sweat glands and it caused excrutiating pain. I was on antibiotics for 30 days in addition with strict orders not to use any antipersparent or deodorant for that time - gross I know. Thank god for perfume carefully placed in ideal spots. I have to use Dove deoderant to keep this condition at bay. I do not want to have to have these glands surgically fixed which can happen if I am not careful.
Secret Platinum works the best for me (still far from perfect). Believe me, I've tried them all. I used to put paper towel under my arms during my breaks at work, back when I worked retail, so I would look less gross for the customers. Eventually I got prescription deodorant. Currently I'm back to Secret Platinum. I also purposely wear clothing that doesn't show dampness as much (e.g. dark colors).
Secret (any kind) is the only thing that works for me, anything else goes >kaput< before the days is out.
I don't use any on a regular basis. When I do it's Jason's, organic and not full of cancer causing chemicals. That's why I stopped using it. In fact I don't sweat that much during the winter and wear double layers at work. So what if I smell while I'm working my butt off at the gym..I think that's a very sexy smell in fact it turns on my boyfriend.
Sweating is our bodies way of controlling our temperature, elmination of waste so to stop it isn't very healthy. Probably one reason why there's a rise of breast cancer in men and women...deodorants/antiperspirants are blocking this process and the waste is forced to stay in this area. That's how I understand it simply. So I just don't use the stuff any more.
So embrace your moistness and do what I do when I get really sweaty, go to the ladies room and wipe down with a damp paper towel. Or take a sniff and smile. I do that too. Gross? No just a part of nature.

I second the Secret Platinum! BUT I always get the white stick kind, and NOT the gel.. Gross that stuff is nasty, and it ruins my shirts and makes my armpits feel wet...LOL
I use very little deodorant when exercises for the reason jvmitch63 mentioned. It's important that you rid your body of toxins, esp. when exercising. If I need an antiperspirant, I use one with a low aluminum level, like 14% (Secret and some others have 22.5%), such as Dove.
BTW: I don't smell, either.

certain dri is pretty good at night, but if you go to a dermatologist they can write up a script for some stuff that you use at night. and then they suggest mitchum during the day, although I dont like mitchum... it feels wet on me, but that could be me.
its easy to embrace sweating if you dont have a sweat problem. But if you are like me, or the woman posting this issue, you sweat horribly when just sitting at a desk all day. Its not pretty having underarm wetness to the point where you keep your arms to your side during they day and are horribly afraid of someone smelling something or seeing the wetness. I would recommend going to a dermatologist if no other thing works.
Sometimes dabbing some rubbing alcohol under my arms keeps me dry and not smelly longer during the day. I personally don't like antiperspirant either, but it's so hard to find ones that are only deodarant. Right now I am using Degree, which has always worked pretty well for me.
I use Dove ultimate clear (the one that's not supposed to be white), it works for me.
I also sometimes dab a little baby powder under my arms, which helps a bit. Clearly not what you are looking for if you are hoping to avoid white marks though.
I use Axe :) it smells so lovely
I kind of happened upon it by accident. At my (ex)boyfriend's house one day 2 summers ago, we went swimming in his pool, and, Oops, I forgot my deoderant! So I used his. And it worked lol.
I haven't tried switching for over two years now. Though I do still sweat a fair amount, it's been the same w/ any and all deoderants i've ever tried

I like degree it works very well for me. I don't really sweat a lot though, but there are some deoderant/antiperspirant brands that I swear make you sweat more lol. I tried a suave brand deoderant last year because I was low on cash and I guess you get what you pay for that stuff was horrible.
I also use MITCHUM, it works great...i was in search for like 4 months because i am in the military and i was teaching outside (in texas) 3 days a week and this is the only thing that worked for me...and it smells really good too..like flowers ;)
I use MITCHUM also, I reallllyyyy works!!!
I use the Adidas aluminum-free kind. Not natural by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn't have the big cancer-culprit aluminum in there. I tried the all naturals - pretty much everything you can get at the health food store - and none of them worked for me :(
I use men's degree....it does not have an odur/scent. it works with me.
