Is seltzer water and club soda as good for you as just drinking water?  I love club soda or seltzer with lime, what do you guys think are they interchangeable with water or should I count them separately from my water for the day?  Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi April,  I drink water with lime, but I believe there are cals and sodium.  So, water is better.  It is on the food log.  Look under beverage, maybe alcholo mixes?
Sodium makes you retain water, so if there's sodium in your seltzer, that will definitely lessen the benefit of the water.
I believe it's not as good as water, but it's very close!

If you are going to drink a sparkling-water type beverage, I recommend finding one with no caffeine and no sodium (and, of course, no sugar!)

If you check the food browser, club soda has 6 mg of sodium PER OUNCE - not a good choice.  However, plain water has 5 mg per 8 ounces and seltzer has 10mg per 12 ounces - making it only slightly "worse" than plain water.
