Wondering if there was a Group for Brides trying to lose weight
I have been skimming through the site and could not find any sort of support group for brides trying to lose weight for their wedding.
As it is planning a wedding is stressful enough let alone worrying about losing weight for a fitting/looking and feeling great on the day... I was just wondering if there was enough interest out there to get something going. I know I am about to start a new exercise program to help lose weight as I am getting married next summer, and could definitely use support on how to balance planning/living/eating/breathing etc.
I'm starting at 185 lbs. and will be looking to get between 145-150 by the end of June 2010.
Congrats on being engaged!
Although it might make some people wince, this is why I started on CC (the wedding is June 5th, 2010!). Since then I've realized that changing my habits is good for the long term, and I've really changed how I think about food. You have my support!
Here are a few groups I found:

I'm 5'4 and I started out at 185 too, I'm down to 163 as of today. You can definately do it! Have you set a date?
We have. July 17th 2010. Congrats for yourself as well. Thank you for finding the groups for me. It should be a big help!
=)
i waish I could join these groups *kicks her boyfriend into gear* hahaha :)
good luck on losing weight!! You cant definitely do it. I started out at 5'4 weighing 175 and I'm down to 144 :) YAY!!
I am also in the same boat. I am getting married some time in May 2010 (date not completely set yet). I'm also about 5'3" - 5'4" and at 190lbs. I'm looking to get a fresh "restart" on my weight loss and healthy living goals. Thanks for the group list centamichel :)!
And congratulations to all of you. :)
Congratulations! I'm getting married in May 2010 and would love to join a group like that too. Its hard to stay motivated especially with the added stress of planning.
I am not a bride but a bridesmaid (maid of honor). I thought it was about time I got in shape to look good on the day for the bride! It is certainy an incentive.
