Had my cholesterol and body fat checked today, and I’m on a major high.

For the first time ever, my total cholesterol, LDL (bad) cholesterol, and triglycerides are all below the recommended maximum and my HDL (good) cholesterol is above the recommended minimum. Six months ago, they were all on the wrong side of the line, in spite of the fact that I was spending $250 a month on cholesterol meds. At that time I weighed 311 pounds and had 39% body fat. I went off the meds and got on a serious diet (2,000 calorie, low-fat) and exercise (5 cardio workouts a week and 3 times a week on Nautilus equipment) program, supplemented with niacin and fish oil supplements. I’m now 247 pounds, 25% body fat (both still too high, but I ain’t done yet), the cholesterol numbers are where they should be (and will get even better as I shed more weight), and I’m $250 a month ahead. Thank you, Calorie Count.

congrats! :)

That's so awsome!!! I hope you are feeling as good as the numbers are showing. You should feel really proud of yourself.  Keep it up!

Great job!!!!

Nicely done!  And that's $3000 a year you saved (not to mention the money you're saving in the future by avoiding all sorts of other medical problems associated with obesity).  You can use that to buy a great new wardrobe for your slimmer body!

That is awesome!!!!!

Congratulations! :)
