My WOOOHOO for the day....What is your WOOHOO?

Quote  |  Reply
As I posted before we are doing a weight loss challenge at work. We have 30 people involved and we have lost a total of 341.5 lbs since 1/15/2007.  We are in teams of 2. The winning team gets a prize package and then the top individual gets a prize package. Right now my partner and I are tied for 1st place with another team. The good thing is that no one is starving theirselves to win - everyone is just getting healthier and exercising more. We only have 5 more weeks left in the challenge. I plan on continuing my journey not sure about anyone else. My partner can't wait until it's over. Anyway........learning that we are tied for 1st place is my WOOHOO for the day!!!!

Wow, I am so proud for you and your entire office.  I wish my work were as dedicated to health and fitness as you are.  I guess we aren't motivated enough to pull the entire store into a healthy spirit.  To many humbugs, to little employees!

Congratulations on your success and good luck getting 1st place!
WOO HOO! for being tied for first!  here's hoping you win!

I'm having a mini-party today because despite the bloat and ick of TTOTM, I'm in my size 12s, when a year ago I was wearing very tight size 16Ws.  And these 12s are off the normal rack!  WOO HOO!
WOO HOO for first place at work....

WOO HOO for buying clothes in the "normal sizes"....

My WOO HOO for the day is that I had this incredibly yummy stew for dinner in the crock pot by 8:30 am and we'll have enough leftovers for 3 more nights...WOO HOO

:)
Congrads!!! Good luck with winning.  Well my 18 averages are fitting baggy just like the 18w.  I don't know about my 16 since most of pants are 18.  Hopefully I'll be in a 14 soon enough.  My stomach is noticeably smaller and I don't look 5 months pregnant.  Now I look like I am 2 in half or three.
My WOO-HOO is I *think* my plateau has broken.  Scale didn't budge for 2+ weeks, and I am down this morning!!!  If it is still down tomorrow, then I will celebrate.

Really helps my moral & motivation!
My woohoo is that I had my first compliment today on my weight loss. No one at my work even knows that I'm trying or has gone out of their way to mention that they've noticed a change. But, today a coworker who was out sick for the last month took one look at me and started freaking out about how I've lost a "ton" of weight and that my pants are hanging off me. That small gesture made me 100X more motivated to keep at it!
That's so funny.  I'm just the opposite.  I go around the office telling my co-workers (individually) every time I lost another half a pound... that way I get to announce the news like 10 times.  :)  But unlike my previous attempts at weight loss, I am no longer relying on positive feedback from others.  The positive feedback is nice, but the motivation and determination are all self-powered.  :)

My WooHoo... I was starving at midnight last night, and I somehow managed to convince myself to eat a slice of buttered toast instead of a slice of pepperoni pizza.  I stared at the pizza for a full minute before I turned to get the loaf of bread.  :P
Yay for everyone! I love success stories!

My woohoo: I just met my dad for lunch (weekly ritual) and although i usually say no, he bought me a cookie afterward from the local bakery. I asked for a black/white and wasn't watching when they put them in the bag, but once i was walking back to my office realized it was a chocolate chip.
While I love, love chocolate chip, i actually took one bite and tossed it...it wasn't what i wanted, wasn't what i planned on, so i decided not to just eat it for the sake of eating it.

I'm working with baby steps. this was HUGE for me.

Keep up the good work everyone! WooHoo!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! :D

My WOOHOO for the day is that after three weeks of watching my intake, I have lost a consistant 2 pounds a week!  I have more energy, am encouraged to walk that extra 10-20 minutes and am not as hungry as I thought I would be on a 1400/day calorie intake.

A BONUS WOOHOO was the self-revelation that I can make this work long-term and that it isn't just another fad diet.

I hope you win your workplace challenge akamom2!  And even if you don't, you are still a winner for the health that you have gained.
My whole outfit today is made up of things that didn't fit when I started my diet!  WOOHOO for this sweater that I just love wearing - I'm so glad I kept it!

and double WOOHOO for Calorie-Count so I can share this and read about all these other great moments.  It helps so much.
woohoo for your woohoo!!!  (BTW, I love this title....b/c I am always woohooing someone!!!)

my woohoo for the day is that I am FINALLY out of the 240's!!!

WWOOOOOHHHOOOOOO!!!  239 as of this morning!!!
For me this is a big deal. I was meeting a freind for lunch.  we were in line a Taco Bell when she got a call from her sister to pick up her sick nephew at school, thus canceling our lunch. So my big big woohoo is walking out of taco bell with just a diet soda and nothing else. I was only planning on a taco salad anyway, but  I went back to work had veggies instead.

My WOOHOO is that today I ran 2.25 miles without having to take a break! It isn't much compared to all you pro runners out there, I know, but I could not have accomplished this a month ago. :)
Wow, that's awesome jodischief!  To actually be there and then to turn back.  That takes some determination!  Woohoo!  :D

my woo hoo.......3 lb lighter this morning....only 14 more to go!
Woohooo akamom and best of luck in winning the prize! My woohoo for today actually started yesterday. My ex and his wife are up to their ususal crap and I'm not giving into the food like I normally would. Instead I'm using my frustration and anger to keep me moving during exercize. And elanorci, I holla back at your woohoo and bow in your presence, cuz I can't run for more than a minute yet. (if my ex keeps at it I'll be doing marathons by July!)
Yaaay for everyoneee! Sounds so great :)

My 1st WOOHOO today is: back down to 116 after a week+ of binging on Girl Scout cookies! :):)

2nd WOOHOO: 4th day passed without any binging at all! Looks like I am back on track!

It's so nice having something that motivates you and makes you feel happy. :D
Good job Visha!

I think one of the hardest things is getting back on track... stick with it through the weekend!
My woohoo I lost another 4 lbs this week which brings me to only 4 lbs from my short term goal of 299 lbs (under 300!)  I have lost a total of 34 lbs since Nov.  I am able to walk a total of over 2000 steps almost every day.  Next week I'm going to aim for 2100 steps every day.  I love those pedometers.  I can only walk for a couple of minutes at a time so have to count my daily steps rather than the steps I can do without stopping.
Way to go urbanrose!  34 pounds is a lot!

I made my first goal today.  199!  Woohoo!  My next goal is only three pounds away.  I can do it!  :D
