Word of advice; Don't deprive yourself.
Ok so I may be 17 but I have recently learnt a valuable lesson in dieting or rather, a valuable lesson in my lifestyle change - a diet is temporary, lifestyle change is permanent.
Anyway, after years of losing/gaining/losing/gaining I realised why it was. It was because I was saying to myself "NO you CAN'T EVER eat chocolate or pizza." Whereas now, I'm losing weight, toning up and eating healthier but if I want a chocolate bar, I have one. A small one.
The problem with the westernised world is the portion sizes - for insance, the smallest pizza you can buy is a 7" from a pizza parlour but why? We only need half of it to feel full. Chcoolate bars - we can control that sweet tooth of ours with about half the size of the average chocolate bar. But we stuff ourselves and eat unncessary calories.
So for all you people out there who are denying themselves of anything they like and eating celery sticks whilst feeling miserable, have a chocolate bar. Have a slice of cake. Just make sure the portion sizes are small / it's worked into your daily limit. That way, you'll be so much more motivated.

Congratulations for learning that lesson at such a young age. If most of us "old folks" had been so wise at your age, we probably wouldn't still be here.
Heh, thanks. I just see loads of people on here saying "I'm going to binge, I can't eat anything like that because it'll make me put weight on!" when it really won't if they're sensible about.
