Runnin, biking, swimming, weight lifting.... Let's hear it!

Since there's a topic on what you ate I thought it should be a good idea to start a similar one in the fitness section....

I'll start even though today I haven't really done anything. Yesterday I took a bodypump class followed by rpm (spinning) class. I've been trying to put more weight on the bar since I had to stop pump for 4 weeks because of a shoulder injury. I caught up with my previous weight and even tried to add a little more on chest track but now the soreness is really kicking in. I think I'll take the weekend off.

My workout yesterday sucked.  I wanted to get in my 4 mile run, but it was pouring rain, so I had to improvise.  I did a few workout DVDs at home and tried to do some stair running intervals - of course it didn't work on my 14 steps at home!  So I was annoyed, but am glad to see the rain subsided this morning, so looking forward to my 4 mile run today.

Did half an hour of weights this morning and will do a 2 mile run tonight.

cc31 it was pouring here too yesterday and very windy (NJ)- i skipped my run =/
this morning it was lightly raining/drizzling and i find that invigorating to run in so i had a enjoyable 5 miles today =)

I dont like running in the wind but i do love running in the rain.

Went to a 90 minute Johnny G spin class.  Came out drippin wet Laughing

Gym at 6:30 a.m.  Did 15 mins. on the rowing maching, 25 on the stationary bike (hiit), and 30 on the eliptical (a crosstraining workout program).  It was an awesome workout.  Just put new music on my ipod :)

The past few days, my only workout has been going to work! Physical job, 8 hr shifts with only two 15 minute breaks scattered within, no lunch breaks... as it was, I had to eat a 750 calorie pizza and a piece of fudge when I got home just to make it up to my calorie range!

Today was trail running for 1 hour.  The weather was 60 and a little cloudy.  It really couldn't have been better.

Yesterday I was on the treadmill for an hour, did some bicep, tricep, ab and chest work, went on the spinning bike for 20 minutes, then repeated the weight lifting. :0

Today...might just be an hour on the elliptical. I have a lot of work to do. D:

Same here!! 1 hr running on the trails at the state park. The weather is absolutely perfect for it here in AL. :) Did the same thing yesterday, but went 1 1/2 hrs. It's my favorite cardio workout ever!

Impressive.  I'll be happy when I'm up to 1 1/2 hrs.  1 was my long run- other days are just 45 min.

It's not just fun, but there are so many awesome things to see along the way: Hot air balloons, a turtle laying eggs by the lake,.....today people were saddling horses beside the parking lot.

I did 10 mile time trial yesterday. Today is a 45min criterium. They had these awesome white and dark chocolate cookies there. I had one, might not have been the best idea before a Time Trial. lol

UD

10' warmup (running in place) and 45' of circuit training. Tonight I'll do some interval training (not HIIT) on the bike.

Did the elliptical for 62 minutes and strength training for 20 - left dripping wet and highly motivated for the rest of the day! I love working out in the morning :)

I had a decent workout day yesterday.

In the AM I did my lifting. Standing Press (3x5), Deadlifts (3x5), Weighted Pull-Ups (3 sets of 5 with 35 pounds added), and Farmer's Walk for grip strength. As a whole I was done in 45 minutes and spent..LOL My strength on the lifts went up so I was happy with that.

In the PM I did my HIIT. I have been doing lifting and HIIT on the same day split between the morning and evening so I get a full day of recovery in between lifting sessions. If I did HIIT on my non lifting days, my legs would never get a break.

I had a mean HIIT session last night.

They usually recommend a 1:3 ratio (20 second sprint/60 second rest). However, I am trying to increase my stamina and cardiovascular health. So I am starting to do 20/40's, and eventually down the road I might make it to Tabata levels of 20 seconds on/10 off. Still a long way off from that though. I started out with a jump rope. I got through six 20/40 intervals. Then for some unknown reason, my jump rope broke. So I rushed outside my house and finished up with sprints. Now I was already feeling the burn from the jump rope, and when you combine sprints with that, it is really tough. I ended up doing another 8 sprints. I was toast afterwards.

Today my abs are killing me! I always feel it in my abs after doing heavy deadlifts. However, sprinting is one of the best ab exercises you can do because of how much pressure you have to put on your core to sprint. So when you combine the deadlifts with the sprints I did, my stomach is killing me..LOL

Ran 6 miles yesterday (~7.3 mi/hr) and swam 4k yds freestyle this morning :)

8.35 mile run today. Didn't realise the Thames festival was on so I spent a LOT of time dodging tourists.

I did not start this weight loss journey until about a month ago, and (I know it sounds like excuses) because of student teaching and working (meaning I put in at least 16 hours away from home everyday) I have not started the exercise routine that I meant to. However, every time I have a chance I do work out. Yesterday I walked 1.5 miles. It didn't really feel like a workout, but I figure moving is moving. Today I walked 2 miles at a faster pace (I walked alone today) and afterwards I did squats and lunges. That felt pretty good, but I think this upcoming week I will be able to adjust my schedule some to fit in yoga, pilates, and my favorite machine at the gym (an elliptical stair thing). Thanks for all the ideas everyone!

8 mile run this morning.  It was great!!  I had to stop a couple of times for my dog to catch her breath though.
