Anyone have any suggestions on workout music? I listen to everything but for whatever reasons a lot of the songs on my ipod aren't really doin' it for me. Suggestions???

Eminems harder stuff ^_^
PANTERA!!!......SLAYER!!!

...at least that's what works for me

 :D
Fatboy Slim, Arctic Monkeys and Rancid are workign for me right now.
rediscover is great. :]
check the playlists on www.shape.com or the celebrity ipod playlists on itunes.  they might give you some ideas for songs you'd forgotten you liked.  i do that sometimes.
I listen to a lot of club techno. not club rap (the beat is strange), but club techno - better off alone, sandstorm, castles in the sky, etc.
i listen to songs i can dance to. i watch "so you think you can dance" (great show!) and i have a lot of the music they dance to, so it's easier for me to workout to it. or sometimes i watch taped episodes of sytycd.

for me it has to be inspiring...I guess it depends what music you find inspiring, but i think lyrics are important as well as the beat of the song, something fast and upbeat.

At the moment my faveourite work out song is 'stronger' by kanye west, the lyrics are great as sometimes you feel like giving up but i like the lyric 'that that wont kill me can only make me stronger'...i guess its true work out wise as well.

also really love 'your so damn hot' by okgo

hope that helps you!

For me it's dance mixes of Savage Garden and Darren HAyes songs....I need a heavy beat...semi-fast or I get lazy..I tried putting my ipod on shuffle but the second I got to a slow song I wanted to stop....lol....

Just downloaded an hour long playlist for the gym today actually... :)

Sort of techno-y which i don't listen to normally but it keeps those legs moving when doing cardio.

Enur - calabria

Britney - Gimme More (Don't laugh, something about it pumps me up even if she is unstable)

DJ Antoine - This time  (love this song!)

Timbaland- Give it to me

Gorillaz- Dare

The Chemical Brothers- Galvanize

Soulja Boy- Crank that (okay, so i slip the guilty pleasures in the mix)

Telepopmusik - Breathe (for cool down)

Sneaker Pimps- 6 Underground (cool down/stretch)

I just listen to anything that I can sing along to.  If you do that then the time will pass a lot faster because you're singing and not paying too much attention to what you're doing

I work out while watching T.V
Something upbeat, like Maroon 5.

ACDC -- Back in Black, Money Talk, Shook Me All Night Long

Springstein -- Born to Run

Melissa Etheridge -- I Run for Life

Natasha Beddingfield -- Unwritten

Christina Aguilera -- I'm a Survivor

Ozzy Osbourne -- I Don't Want to Stop, Crazy Train, Bark at the Moon

Neil Diamond -- pretty much anything (sorry)

Kanye West -- Golddigger, Heard Em Say

Mary Chapin Carpenter -- Almost Home, I Feel Lucky, Passionate Kisses, Down at the Twist and Shout

Eminem and Jay-Z... anything with a beat

Hmm, I think I need to update what I listen to.

"Hmm, I think I need to update what I listen to."

Primadonna98, you can never go wrong with some AC/DC or Ozzy, IMO!

 ;)

Hot Dog - Led Zepplin

Mystery Acheivement - The pretenders

The Emperor's New CLothes - Sinead O'Connor

My Sharona - The Knack

Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

I know it is late, but I just joined the site.

I like all types of music too. What really gets me going...

Rage against the machine-= ANYTHING

The White Stripes=Icky Thump

MOdest Mouse= Dashboard, Missed the Boat

Red Hot Chili Peppers= Hump de BUmp

Drowning Pool= Bodies (-ust don't listen to the lyrics :O)

Kanye West= Stronger

These are just a few of my favs... gotta have the right music :O)

Definitely Pantera, Iron Maiden is my personal fave.  The best running song of all time.......

Running Free by Iron Maiden

Blue Monday by Orgy (I used to sing that in my my head during races in high school.  It has a really good beat.)

Totally back up the Icky Thump.

Supernaut by Black Sabbath

Bootylicious by Destiny's Child

Du Riechst So Gut by Rammstein

I normally like broadway musicals and marching band music, but for the eliptical and treadmill, I discovered I really do well with swing music.  It has a quick beat and a good syncopation to put a spring in your step.
For me it has to be from the 50's and how I'd just die to have that old figure back to.Only 82lbs to go
