Basically, I'm looking for some good work-out videos or work-out plans for someone over 150 pounds overweight. I have knee, back, and ankle problems so I need something that isn't gonna be /too/ hard on them. I walk and sometimes lightly jog but I can't run without my ankles and knees getting really swollen. My doctor has actually been rather unhelpful, giving me more "don't"s than "do"s. =/ I'd prefer something I can do inside because it rains a lot here in Washington, but outside opportinuties are nice too since I like to go outside when it's not raining. ^^
I dont know about the bike myself, it always bothers my knees. Does anyone else have that prooblem? I am wondering if there is some sort of tactic I can use to strengthen my knees?
However, I have heard that using a rebounder is good. It is a mini trampoline and it absorbs the shock of the aerobic activities because your not hitting solid ground. I am going to shop for one this weekend
I would also love to get into swimming again

My knees seem stronger and what I am doing is every night when I am lying in my bed, I extend one leg in the air and bend my knee, 30 times (I started at 5). and I do the same to the other. The I do other stuff. I come back and do the 30 again. I'll increase it to 35 soon. I have noticed I can take the stairs that go up into the school more easily. Of course, losing weight bears on that also.
Make sure you have good shoes whatever you are doing, You will want lots of support and cushioning. My best friend is a physical therapist and she swears I need to replace my walking shoes every 4-6 months. I used to think she was nuts. but good shoes really absorb a lot of the impact.
Get a new doctor. Doctors need to understand that fatties are people too, and we deserve to be treated as whole people.
