I've started working out f/t again. I'm doing 45 min/day for 4 days/week. When I used to exercise before I know I did 45-60min/ 4 days / week and thus far have lost 90lbs. But now I'm confused and I just want so badly ot lose the rest of the weight, if I try to starve myself I or "rush" It I know thats bad! So I'm assking is 4 days/ week enough to lose weight again I have 2 young kids, work nights etc... but when I work out it says I only burn 543 cals. so for 4 days nowhere near 1lb. and I don't know if your supposed to count all the calories that show up on your account or just what you logged. Please help. I just want to do this right. Weekends are my worst and this weekend is going to be a real challenge to watch waht I eat, I'm going to my moms tomorrow and she has all these sweets so I'm going to have really restrain. PLease help, give any suggestoiins I feel so guilty for only working out 4 days/ wk. Is this legit enough to lose weight?
You can loose weight exercising 4 times a week, because weightloss is 90% eating habbits and 10% exercise, as long as you burn off more than you eat (doing nothing actually burns off calories) I sugest you see how it goes and ajust what you are eating and what exercise you are eating to what suits you!! Make sure you eat slightly more on the days you exercise than on the dys you are sedetary.
Usually i exercise every day (i'm only 14) but this week i haven't atall (after christmas and v cold outside, my football has stoped, and my hockey was canceled coz of ice!!) i stffed myself on my birthday and i have maintained my weight throughout the week so if it wasn't my birthday i would have lost(without exercising!!) i'm going back to evry day next week!!
You're probably @ your mom's now and I know it can be really difficult when you are surrounded by all those comfort type foods. Instead of denying yourself completely, try choosing only one or two that you just don't want to resist. Cut a small portion and enjoy it. Life is not about complete denial because in the end, frustration will win out and you may very well end up in a binge situation. Always know that you can allow yourself a little bit - and that another bite will not taste any better than the one you just had. Good luck to you, night shifts are difficult and so is mom's house!
