How much are you eating?

It's easy done if you don't count the calories of the good foods you're eating..... It's entirely possible to gain weight eating great quality food if you eat too much.  I did it myself for years!

Use the CC calculator to work out your energy needs and weight-loss calorie intake.... then keep the food log to see how much you're actually eating - weighing and measuring portions, especially of things like whole-grains which are actually quite energy-dense.

Good luck

I feel for ya! Sometimes life is tough.... so what are our choices? Eat and get fatter, eat healthy and exercise and stay the same weight yet healthier, or keep showing up.... fine tune what you are doing... it WILL happen! You got to show up every day....

If you aren't tracking your calories, you have no way of really knowing what you ate, for sure.  Start writing it down.  Every last bite. You'd be surprised how fast it adds up!!

Yep, counting calories is important if you really want to lose.

:commiserate:

I workout 4-5 days a week, intense, weight lifting, tons of stuff.

Has not had soda in...5 years, junk food is about a 200 calorie dessert once a week, I eat brown rice or whole grain, minimal red meat, chicken, tofu, peanut butter, soymilk, and mostly vegetables.

I did count a few times though, and it generally adds up a lot slower than I would think...even if I overestimate the amount of meat(I've tracked a few days on sparkpeople). I am Chinese, and eat that way, sharing dishes and using chopsticks, so I try to estimate higher just in case my bites are big. Or maybe they arent??

I'm 6', 170, and would like to lose another 15 lbs. T.T Haven't lost an ounce nor a cm since early July...

hey guys well im aiming for about 1900 cal a day, although i have to be honest, its gone a bit over a few times due to my love of peanut butter!
