Hey all, I hope you're having a relaxing holiday with lots of food, love and laughs.

Anywhoodle, I just had a q for some of you out there. So I've been repairing my body from about 6 months of starvation mode since about August. I finally got to a point where I could eat 15-1600 cals a day, being relatively active (walk to and form school and gym usually weight training or yoga 3x/week), and not gain! This is awesome because I remember a time when I would literally gain a lb if all I ate was a sub for the day. This is still a process, and I still struggle every day with eating and being on here has given me a lot of insight as to how the body works, and I want to thank everyone for their help, stories and inspiration, esp. GI Jane and Lala, they are rockstars on here!

Anyway, I just wanted to know how long it takes for the body to slip back into starvation mode after having already been in it. I just never want to go back there again. I realize that by eating how I'm eating, I probably won't, but I'm curious about that regardless.

Also, I was wondering what kind of excersizes were best for burning fat? Now that I have the food part taken care of, I want to be able to tone up. What do you all do for fat burning? I don't need a huge deficit in calories, but I do want to do something that will efficiently burn fat. I'm 25, 4'11 and 100lbs.

Thanks peepz!

Strength training. There is a lot of good info on the fitness forum about doing it, and you do not have to join a gym.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply...I'm working out at a gym right now doing short sessions on weight training qith a trainer...what do people think about HIIT?
