Do you have a workout bag(s)? What's in it?
I have workout bags for each martial art...Ogio 35 gallon in purple and teal...The two teal are for BJJ.
- A clean BJJ gi in each one
- sports bra (Victoria's Secret Shock Absorber)
- leggings (Champion)
- Ponytail holder
- Inhaler for Asthma
- Ibuprofin
- Sports Tape
- Ear guard (haven't used it yet, but no cauliflower ears for me)
Then I tie my belt to the handles of whatever bag has the clean gi that I should take for my next class.
The two purple ones are designated for Judo and Aikido, one for each with a standard judo gi, a hakama for aikido, and the appropriate belt tied to each.
I haven't found a bag that I really like yet that is sized appropriately for the no-gi classes, so I'm using a messenger style book bag...still searching.
Gym bags (not as nice, the rejected choices that I originally got for martial arts and found to be lacking...lol I'm definitely more into my martial arts).
- Swim suit
- towel
- shampoo
- flip flops
- tennis shoes & socks
- sweats
- t-shirt
- sports bra (not the nicer ones, you guessed it, those are reserved for martial arts)
- workout towel
- combo lock
i want a bag!
no, not so well organized. i have one gi, so i have to space my workouts so i have time to wash it or be gross. ewwww. ( well, as i think about it, i have 2 gis, but the other si Soooo warn and torn. but maybe i should resurect it if i am going to play more often.
i have a bag. it has swim goggles, gym id, towel, shampoo, and cap. i add suit if nessessary.
i don't take much with when i work out. i come dressed. i have tape in the car...
but i LOVE the idea of having a bag!
I am not so organized either. I load my gear in the a bag the night before. What stays in the bag in a timer, extra heargear, jumprope, nasal spray, preperation-H (for nose bleeds), and duct tape. I go no gi now a days so my wash time is not a concern.
We just switched back to gi for most of our classes since summer is over. I'm taking 2 gis plus fresh sports bras and leggings for whenever I do back to back classes or two classes in one day...sigh, lots of laundry! Fortunately I can use my old judo gis for the BJJ since I only have 2 BJJ ones.
Yeay! I finally have a workout bag of my very own!
Mine contains:
- gym shorts and shirt (except when they're in the wash)
- boxing gloves (bag gloves, at the moment)
- nasal spray
- instant cold wrap (best invention EVAR, btw)
- Ibuprofen (just in case)
- a wash cloth (I'm shy and our showers are communal, so I usually just sponge off with cold water and shower when I get home)
- a notebook, ostensibly for writing down points I need to work on before I forget them, but thus far, I haven't actually done that, because I'm still at a level where I can keep track of the stuff I need to work on easily (hands up, correct stance, hip rotation).
- Edit: Bus schedules. Mustn't forget the bus schedules.
- Edit: Water bottle, though I took it out and forgot it on Wednesday.
It should also contain handwraps and a jump rope, but I sort of keep failing to acquire them for various reasons.
First time, the store wouldn't take my check b/c I'd just flagged my account for fraud due to a stolen bank card number, LOL. Second time, they didn't have the hand-wraps in my size or a jump rope that didn't suck. I'll have another go at it this weekend, and if they still don't have what I need, I'm just gonna order my stuff online and get it shipped Priority.
