Workout songs?
Whine Up - Kat de Luna
Calabria remix with Pitbull
Two Step..Walk It Out
What Is it - Sean Kingston
Gasolina - Pitbull
U2- Beautiful Day and Vertigo
Also punk rocky songs that have a lot going on take my mind of running/breathing noises.
Some techno songs with a steady beat help me out too. Mostly random mainstream hiphop it what works for me.
The only time I listen to R&B/Hip Hop is when I am working out. Most of the songs keep the same beat and tempo throughout the entire song, so it is easy to get in a groove and stay in it. Kanye West has a song called "Workout Plan" (or something like that), which normally gets me going.
Any funky dance music is good. Pick something with a strong beat that can suck you into it! I really like the A*Teens (hahaha!), an ABBA cover band! I also like hiphop (Black Eyed Peas, Ludacris, and any Southern Crunk Music is AWESOME!), and 80's pop music. Anything from Cyndi Lauper to Madonna to Salt 'n' Peppa! :)
Try to mix it up, too. Don't listen to hiphop straight on for the entire workout or you can get sick of it really quick. I have an iPod shuffle, so I throw all my fun work-out songs on there and I'm good to go!
Hope that helped a bit! Keep on groovin!

A buddy recently added some songs on my MP3 player and he included a couple of Metallica songs, St. Anger and Four Horsemen and I was surprised how much these two songs get me revved up. I think I will ask for more next time!
Sandman ALWAYS gets me going! You should check that one out too!
you really cant go wrong with any of those

this website has a lot of fun and funky mixes to keep you going
and Cobra Starship: Bring It (Snakes On A Plane), Guilty Pleasure, Damn You Look Good And I'm Drunk (Scandalous), It's Warmer In The Basement...etc.
Wearing My Rolex - Wiley (not sure you'd have heard of him but good UK grime artist)
(I Got That) Boom Boom - Britney Spears
Groove is in the Heart - Deee-Lite
Any other interesting remixes
songs by: Justice, Space Cowboy and Basement Jaxx
When I'm running I have to listen to either Hip Hop or something HARD like Godsmack or Marilyn Manson. (Bon Jovi always gets me going too). Or I throw in some funny ones on my iPod like U Can't Touch This.
I have my husband make mixes for me. That ways it's kind of fun going to the gym because I know I'll have new and surprising songs to listen to.
all downloaded from iTunes:
walk away (workout pace: fast)
and best song EVER for working out in my opinion: i hate myself for saying this...
gimme more (workout remix) britney spears (the top 40 hits remixed)
Killswitch Engage
DragonForce
kanye west - workout plan
rihanna - please don't stop the music
miley cyrus - see you again
pharrell - raspy ****
britney spears - toxic
note: these songs may make it seem like my taste in music is not so great. i like this music, i'm not going to lie, but i like a LOT of other types of stuff too. this is just the best stuff for working out.
Drop Kick Murphys "The State of Massachusetts" - really a great song to run to.
I second the Dropkick Murphy song.
