before and after workout weight

i know your not suppost to weigh yourself that often, but the scale sometimes confuses me, so i weigh in before and after my workouts. almost everytime i "gain" .5-1.5 pounds in between, is the scale broken, or is there more to this.

Weight is a very confusing thing. 0ne week | weighed 128, and the next week i ate at least 1,8oo--1,2oo almost everyday, and | lost four pounds.

So it's all screwy. Just don't weigh yourself too much. At the most, maybe once every morning.. Just to keep track. But yeah. | wouldn't think much of it if | were you.

you shouldn't weigh yourself more than once a week. i used to weigh myself every day but it was so up and down in little amounts that it got me annoyed and discouraged. little things like how much water you are holding, even what you're WEARING can change the scales. just go for once a week in the mornings when you wake up and you'll see bigger differences and be more confident about what you're doing.
What you're wearing does have an impact -- if you're wearing anything.  I weigh at the same time (in the morning) right before getting in the shower.  Cuts out the other factors a little better.

Weighing once a week can be good so you don't see those ups and downs as much.  However, you could also weigh in on a low day and then one week later weigh in when you've got excess water weight.  Nothing is more frustrating that working hard for a week and showing an extra 1 or 2 pounds from the week before.  I weigh everyday, but if you weigh only once a week, be weary -- or at least aware -- of those intracacies (sp?).
Uhh, are you drinking water (as you should be) during your workouts?  A bottle of water would easily account for that much weight (and could equally be expected to be gone in the morning, so do NOT stop drinking water)!.  You can really make yourself crazy that way.  Go with once a week weigh-ins, or at most only every 3 or 4 days.
I always find i weigh about that much more after a workout as well, sometimes even more! I think i must retain water directly after - or maybe it has to do with the amount i drink while working out. a few hours later or the next day its back to normal!

I weigh myself daily, the only reason i do this is to keep vigilant on my excercise and diet but i know that i go up and down 1.5-2.5 lbs so i just factor that in. but i do not recommend this for everyone but there are so many different reason weights flucuate, i wld not worry unless like 5lbs or something like that
