Workouts making me hungrier!!!

I've been increasing my workouts per week (up to a good 4-5 every week) and I feel great -- absolutely loving it.  The only problem is, I am a lot hungrier!!!  I think I am overcompensating for my workouts with eating....  I was losing 1 lb/week, but for the past several weeks, I have been hovering around the same weight.  I have 20 lbs to go to my target weight!

Has anyone else encountered this issue?  What did you do to get past it???

It's natural for your body to need more food when you workout more. The more calories you burn, the more you need to consume. I always work out in the evenings after dinner so when I get back I'm always pretty hungry too. I usually make myself a piece of toast with tuna on it, or something else with protein so that my body can repair itself. Just make sure you eat enough to feel satisfied, not full!
you should eat more, but not so much that you are runining your deficit. You are burning more, so you need more.
merkee, i just wanted to say that i feel your pain.  this is a major problem for me too.  i exercise a lot which is great, but you end up eating more than you'd like sometimes (for weight loss purposes, anyway).  try to structure and plan your meals (so that you never find yourself ravenous), that's the best advice i can offer.

Thanks .  I guess its all about just working through each issue...... I'm sure my body will adjust to the increased exercise and I just have to be careful in the meantime about what I put in my mouth.

like wrestling practice for me, you burn a lot of calories (not correct on CC).

a 2.5 hour practice lets you burn nearly 2000 calories give or take 500 depending on how hard you practice, if coach holds you after prac, 5am practice included, etc. because it's basically 2.5 hours of conditioning which is more intense than a lot of the exercises listed here at CC.
