what did you change in your eating habits? Just wanting to see if there's something I can use.
23 lbs in 6 weeks is almost 4 lbs per week.  That's not a healthy weight loss rate.  How big is your calorie deficit?

Hi noaaiona, I just made a commitment to myself to add every bite that goes into my mouth, to the calorie counter. What I discovered is that I was nibbling more than I thought. Then I started planning my meals out in the morning of what I might like to have for the day and leave about 400 calories for snacks. I started out with 1800 cal a day and after a week to 10 days lowered it to 1700 , then 1600 and found that I still was trying to meet that quota, it seemed that I am eating all the time, just this last week I lowered it to 1500 so I am finding that around 1500-1600 is about right for me. I do exercise, walk 40-60 minutes at least 5 days a week, plus various exercises, but nothing to strenuous. I think that the real key is to be honest with myself in entering everything into the food log, and I don't count the exercises calories. I have found that a few days I have eaten more calories and that is OK, as the exercise calories are my backup plan, I don't beat myself up if I go over my daily limit, most days it is hard to just get to my quota for the day. The hardest times have been when I travel, then I try to buy a bag of baby carrots or pea-pods to munch on and also take a low cal sandwich with some protein along, that way I am not tempted to snack on the wrong things.

To sum it up, what I am learning is that the calories I intake are mostly good healthy ones not diet food. I do keep some light chips and baked chips on hand just in case I want to munch, but add them into the count. Another thing is if I want something sweet I have found that maraschino cherries have only 10 calories each! So if my sweet tooth is acting up I have a few and that help. I really do not feel that I am dieting, just eating more consciously.

As for loosing 4#  a week I am sure that will average out. I am not starving myself that's for sure!! I feel as if I am eating more than I ever have! But I know that I am just making better choices.
