should i be worried??

ok so ill try not to make this long

often, when i exercise, something wierd happens...i get the sensation that my ears have popped because my hearing becomes really sensitive and i can hear myself berathing inside my head and its really loud (i hope im not sounding like a freak) ive also had this sensation when i have been longer than usual without eating

so, ive recently learnt that you get this sensation when the pressure inside your body is less than the pressure outside! now my question, is it a bad/worrying thing that my blood pressure drops when i exercise or miss a snack??

thanks in advance!

I've read that ear popping after exercise could be a major sign of dehydration.  Also, here is a link from another person who had the same experience.  His doctor checked his ears for wax, asked about allergies and discussed blood pressure going up too much during exercise (rather than dropping too low).  Increasing your routine too severely could cause that type of response.  You may want to have your blood pressure checked, too. http://www.defend.net/deluxeforums/fitness-nu trition-training-forum/24394-ears-pop-after-h eavy-exercise.html

I suppose you should try staying hydrated and be sure to increase your exercise routine slowly.  Be well.

oh wow i've never thought of dehydration. this happens to me a lot too, and i've always wondered if it was just random or if it was a symptom of some kind.

thanks so much!

I never had that happend until I started running first thing in the morning. But it makes sense. I don't eat or drink before I run cause it's so early. (I know you aren't supposed to do that but I live in SC and waiting later would just make it hotter!) But yeah I've noticed halfway through my runs that my ears start popping very weird. Had no clue what that was about. I've always had really good blood pressure though so I wouldn't think that it's that.

thanks for the link benicky and everyone else - its good to know im not the only one

the thing is i dont know if it could be to do with high bp because at rest im brachychardic (low bp) but the dehydration is possible....i always drink a coffee before my morning workout which probably doesnt help!

thanks again
