I'm worried that im going over on 2 things.

I think im eating too many grains  and too much protein.

Should I be worried about having too many grains a day?

This is my meal plan for today

B: Large Banana, 2 cups of cooked oamteal, 1.5 tbsp of PB, 1 oz of almonds,    8 oz of milk

S: 3/4 cup of vanilla granola

L: .25 cup of egg whites, 1 double fiber english muffin, 1 slice of fat free cheese, Boca Burger wrapped in romaine lettuce and 1 ww bread slice

S: Apple

S [after gym]:2 scoops of whey protein powder, 16 oz milk, 1 frozen banana1 4 frozen strawberrys

D: 3/4 cup of brown rice , 6 oz of chicken breast, 1 cup of carrots

This is started to really bug me can someone please help.

You are eating over on protein, but your grain is good. According to the food pyramid you are eating just the right servings of grain:6. But you are having 5 servings of protein. You only need two. I don't know if that is necessarily bad for you though. If the calories are good, I don't think that's exactly harmful. How are those Boca burgers, by the way? I bought some, but I haven't tried them yet. I also bought some nature's promise soy burgers and Jennie O Turkey Burgers. The turkey burgers were delicious! :)

But if he's in the gym lifting and trying to gain muscle mass, that extra protein is essential to him. The standard "2 servings" (or 50 grams) of protein is not nearly enough for anyone who is in the gym and trying to gain muscle mass.
