Worried that I'll Lose a lot of Muscle Mass while limiting my Calorie intake.

I've never counted calories when trying to lose fat.  I've always done the low carb thing, and it's worked out for me.  I'm counting calories, just to try something new, and I'm loving it.  I can actually eat fruits and vegitables!?!?

I'm currently taking in 150 to 200 grams of protein a day, Limited Calorie to 1850, BMI 28.4.  I weighted 220 on May 4th, and weighted myself in May 15th and i'm 216.  I workout 2, maybe 3 times a week and I'm worried that I might lose a lot of muscle mass.  Am I doing the right thing by taking in a lot of protein to avoid losing muscle mass?

Thanks.
