I've had a few fights with food when it comes to binging.

I've thrown both Captain Crunch and Honey Nut Cheerios out my back door on 2 occassions.

I've smashed a bag of tortilla chips to a pulp on my kitchen floor

I've melted a 1/2 gallon of ice cream (or whatever was left of it) in my kitchen sink while saying "die die die" as it went down the drain.

What's your worst binge "death" story?

I squirted washing up liquid on a big bowl of binge food I was about to eat, once. Certainly stopped me. Heh.

Pretty much I've only thrown away half a birthday cake so I wouldnt eat anymore. haha.
well, I had been taking a few pieces out of the Special K Chocolatey Delight box, which I honestly NEVER do (except this one time, obviously) and I kept going back. then I decided I really only wanted to eat the bigger-sized flakes & the chocolate pieces, so I turned the box over and spread the cereal on my kitchen counter. I started picking at it and eating more and more, then really thought about what the hell I was doing and put all the cereal back in the box and went out to throw it in the trash.

I've thrown out half-full pans of brownies I've made, half-full pints of ice cream. Lots of stuff like that. I feel kinda guilty afterward 'cause i'm like "somebody else could've wanted/ate that" but sometimes I just gotta do it. oh and also putting a half-full dish of leftover casserole into the sink and turning the faucet on it then adding soap.

I've thrown out lots of junky foods like chips, crackers, cookies, and artificially-colored-and-flavored popsicles before to keep them out of the house (and because I knew there were healthier things to eat).

Your ice cream story reminded me of a time when I accidentally left a tub of ice cream out on the counter overnight... when we tried to refreeze it, it just ended up gross. ):

my problem with simply throwing stuff away is that i'll sometimes go through the trash....

double post.. sorry

Yeah.  Sadly, me too.  One time I had a ton of leftover Halloween candy that I couldn't stop eating.  I was eating even the stuff I don't like (like mounds, ick coconut).  Because they were individually wrapped, I had to unwrap each one, and the SMOOSH it into the icky trash, and mix it up.  All that work, just to prevent myself from eating it.

So sad, but true.  :(

Oh, I have SOO been here.

I've made whole, elabourate desserts and cakes, only to setthem on fire in my garage.

I've smashed them with bats and hammers (Gallager-esque). I've thrown desserts and food away so I would not eat them.

It's not under control still though, I'm sorry to say. But I LOVe to cook and bake, but a lot of the times my family won't eat them :(

I don't have any huge "death" stories... but I'll usually carry a bottle of water with me everywhere so if I get the urge to eat, I'll just pour water on the food and destroy it. It really works, but when you do it in public people tend to look at you weird...

Crushed a bag of cookies and pretzels... LOL

cereal was usually my downfall... I've put water on it, cleaning solution, threw it out in the trash, dumped it on the floor and stepped on it, poured alcohol as the "milk"

yep, bingeing is a cruel cruel enemy

Once at my desk, I had a jar of peanut butter and I couldn't put it down.  Opened the cap, scooped a spoonful, ate it, screwed the cap back on.  Rest.  Repeat.  I repeated probably 15 times before I got up, took the peanut butter up the elevator to the 7th floor (I work on the first floor) and thew it away in a garbage can in front of a ton of peoples' desks and went back downstairs.  That felt good!

AH! Another one I knew I was forgetting: my parents bought me an insane tub of pick and mix (lots of colour filled, additive filled sweets, basically) from a theme park. It was like giving a pyromaniac fire. I had to wrestle with myself after a horrible day at college not to eat it. Instead?

I melted the contents. All of it. All of them, this colourful, sticky, disgusting mess. AND IT SMELT AMAZING. I threw it away, yes, but my house smelt like a bakery afterwards! XD

I've melted pints of Ben and Jerry's so that I wouldn't finish the whole 1,000+ calorie tub of creamy, tasty evil!

I've also thrown things out and made things only to throw them out as well.  I also have trouble with going back and picking things out of the trash >_<.  I've started to destroy them completely and get rid of packaging so it's far too gross and unsanitary to eat and/or I'll throw things away the night before garbage days so I know they won't be there the next day.

I feel really guilty for just wasting food though =/.  And a few times my parents have caught me and yelled at me for it or thought I was crazy for doing it >_<.  Bah.

You know, I never thought about using liquid dish soap to distroy food. Great great idea. I finally took my cheerios out to the street trash bin.

I'm going to start carring hand sanatizer in my purse for 'outtings' that I can't quit at. Sometimes straw wrappers don't do the trick.

my friend though she was being nice, and brought me some donuts. i ended up covering them in dish soap. i felt kind of bad abut about it, since she got them for me. it was good that she didn't have to pay for them though, or else i don't know if i could have destroyed them.

Waste is waste. Either you eat it and poo it, or you put it in the trash.

Never think about throwing away food you know will tempt you until you eat it as being wasteful. Might have been able to give it to someone else, but if it's not an option.. then what is a girl supposed to do?

thats a good idea. i might just have to try that

This is an awesome thread! I recently took a container of cookies (sorry mom I know you made them) and covered them with cat food, then threw em in the trash and put a dirty swiffer cloth on them.  There was no getting to them at that point.  But honestly if I didn't do that they would have haunted me until I disposed (ate) of them.

After eating a large lunch and convincing myself that I was still hungry, I made myself another huge sandwich loaded with turkey, bacon, cheese, and chips (I put them on my sandwich). I was about to take the first bite when I literally dropped it on the kitchen floor and called my dog into the room.  She seemed to enjoy it, much more so than I would have.
