Quote  |  Reply

We've all had those days. You know the ones when you eat a little too much and have a massive food baby after? Yeah, binges are horrible.. but no matter how discouraged you may feel afterwards, it's important to remember everyone slips up and you just need to start fresh tomorrow! So, this thread is for all of us who have overeaten before to share your experience with others, laugh about it and move on (:

I'll start it off!

i seriously used to eat 2000+ calories every night. in addition to a good 1500 calories (at least) during the day.

i could eat a whole box of mac and cheese, one or two beers, a big handful of chocolate chips, a bunch of sliced cheese with sriracha hot sauce on it, toast with butter and syrup, etc etc.

thankfully i stop when i see the calories getting to 1800s or so

last night i managed to eat: 1 nectarine , 1 fitness bar and 30 peanuts in abt 15 min and took me right over 1700 cal :( gah! oh well at least i don't eat chocolate or whatever else lol

*an entire bag of doritos

*3 sugar cookies, 2 cups of glazed chex mix, 1 huge slice of a cake

*3 cups of french fries

*5 cups of spaghetti

*Alot of chocolate chip cookies, 2 cups of full fat milk

:/

one time i went to a local grocery store and bought a giant loaf of white bread, a jumbo box of lucky charms, a chocolate bar, a pack of gummy bears, and a huge bag of smartfood and ate it all that night. that was probably my worst binge, calorie-wise.

i was binging almost daily for 10 straight months, but i'm happy to report that today is my 11th day straight of not binging :)

By way of encouragement to all of you, I'm proud to say I no longer binge.  I've learned to plan my meals and snacks so that they are satisfying.  I have banned junk from the house.  Hope you all can get to that point - it's taken me 2 1/2 years, and you can do it too.

~ entire medium pizza (6-8 slices) in under an hour

~ indian take away - 3 FULL plates full.

~entire box of kraft dinner to myself.

~ various trip to mcdonalds - where I would order a meal, a kids meal and mchicken just so I could taste everything... but who am I kidding I ate it all (except the fries)

GROSS!!!!

I've learnt from 3 bad binges in the last month that you caaaan treat yourself without going overboard -and you bounce back and keep going!  So now I have 1 slice of pizza and carry on instead of ordering a whole one and binging on it.

I can clearly remember those days like they were yesterday. I'm with Claire on this though: plan meals and snacks and NO junk foods/ "bad foods" in the house. The desire to binge is no longer a problem for me and I'm not sure why. The most threat in the cupboards that we have now is something like Fiber ONE bars. They're pretty close to candy in my opinion. However, I do remember last fall, standing at the kitchen counter, eating the entire meatloaf with a spoon and then heading to McDonalds. For some reason, once I started changing my lifestyle in January, the "anxiety/emotional/binge eating disappeared. Even now when I'm stressed or worried I don't turn to food. Anyway, I wish you all the best. Have a good day!

i once had a 5000 calorie binge on junk food - mostly chocolates, cookies, and fried cheese and chips. it was terrible - and it was on top of a 2000 calorie day.....7000 calories in a day. it was so bad i felt sick for 2 days and ended up throwing up. it was NOT pleasant. thinking back really motivates me not to binge

I say my worst binge on a day was about 7,000 to 8,000 calories. I must of ate this way for about 3 1/2 months. I put on 50 pounds or so within those months. Now I'm paying with the aftermath of losing it all. So wasn't worth it. :/

* 2 chocolate bars , some crisps and a whole box of chocolate cookies (probably around 300g) - I ate this in half an hour

* half a chocolate cake + lots of whipped cream (500+ g of cake Yell), then a 200g bag of nuts

I think I ended up throwing up after eating that - I guess it was too much for my stomach...

(that was during the time that I was depressed and I sometimes ate to keep myself from doing something worse)

I haven't done anything like that in months :)

Milk shake
2 slices of cake
1 veggie burgers
3 large fries
3 doughnuts
Chocolate mint frapachino at star bucks
2 12 inch foot longs
1 small bag of baked potato chips
2 granola bars
1 hot chocolate
and on a more healthy not...
An apple!

I don't know how my stomach didn't explode. I'm only 15.

i suffered from BED for such a long time.. gained 25 pounds from it. but luckily i was too skinny when it all started, so im not over weight yet

absolutely HATE binges! it makes me so depressed afterwards

my worst one.. oh god

-1 entire jar of peanut butter

-8 noah's bagels with cream cheese

-5 HUGE chocolate chip cookies.. 2 times bigger than the ones from starbucks

-3 ben N jerry's ice cream pints (the ones that are over 1000 calories each!)

Ugh.. over 11,000 calories in one day. basically, i just didn't stop eating

I baked a loaf of bread while my parents were gone and ate the entire thing with cream cheese all by myself. I think it was at least 4 cups of flour that went into that loaf.  I was so ashamed!! And then my dad came home and asked me if I was baking because the oven was still warm. :[

Umm, once I recall inhaling several otis spunkenmeyer cookies, gulping down 2 cups of soup, having two dinner entrees and 4 dinner sides and a bag of chips in a sitting.  I remember my stomach really hurt.

At my mothers party, I could not stop eating the brownie cake somone made and had an entire row to myself (it was one of those big baking dishes) and before that I had two sweet corn tamales, and 3 pieces of beef bbq with lots of rice.  I also remember eating bowl after bowl of cereal and almond milk.

Would have to be half of a pack of OREO cookies the REAL ones!! UGH!

Clarice

Let's see 3 oreos are like 150 calories!! YIKES i would so hate to do that math!

half of a chocolate cake one time

half a pound of almonds-- which is like 3000 calories or something

12 dinner rolls with butter another time

2 bags of soy crisps and 1 box of cereal and 3/4 tub of ice cream another

and so, so many more that I can't remember

thank God I'm over binge eating

I'm surprised I didn't put on 30 pounds-- I gained more like 8 and now I've lost about 5 of those pounds.

It's important to stop thinking like a perfectionalist. For me if I went over my calorie limit by 300, I went absolutely crazy mad at myself and then it trigged huge binges. It was so dumb and didn't make sense, but it was a never ending cycle.

well...today..

*2 and half  huge slices of pizza [peperoni, chorizo & mushrooms]
*2 cups chocolate milk
*2 cups of coffee with milk
*lots of soda
*oreos
*4 tacos of eggs & chorizo
*refried beans with cheese
*  pb & jellly sandwich  w/ banana
* lays chips
*2 and half cups of lentil soup w/ bacon, green & red peppers

maybe not my worst ever..but it was today..
I just love carbs and chorizooo

went like 1500 cals above my target...    T.T

@.@

Oh I am the WORST for binging - I eat as a comfort, and I have three main things I do:

Order a meal from Papa Johns - a large pizza, dips, bbq wings, potato wedges and a pint of Ben and Jerrys and just eat the whole thing.

Make a whole huge batch of pasta, and a whole pot of sauce covered in cheese, and garlic bread.

And the very worst I would do was order a large bag of fish and chip shop chips, then fry up a huge steak and also get cottage cheese and mushy peas and slap it all on top of the chips.

And of course bottle of wine (or two) with it all :S

I haven't for a while, mind ;)

i just binge in..woke up at 3.30 am and couldn't sleep..in one hour i had,

7 pb sandwich(2 bread 1 tbsp pb),1 cup of yogurt,1 cup of milk,1 tbsp condense milk,1 kiwi

Last weekend I ate an entire tub of ice cream in three days!  Along with other food and lots of beer.  AHHH.

I'm a quiche lover and used to eat a whole 9" pie myself.  That adds up to 4800 calories.

When I was pregnant I ate 2 packs of hot dogs with buns.

Makes me feel gross just thinking about it.
