The worst disease for a recovered Purger

Quote  |  Reply

This SUCKS.  It's like I am Purging all over again.  I caught Giardia from my puppy and my intestins have been messed up for weeks.  yucky.  Frown

The worst part is I keep thinking Oh well this will make me loose weight... grr.  It's like deep inside my self distructive side is tickled pink.

I got treatment and took all of my pills but it takes lots of time for all of the symptoms to wear off (so says the doc).  Ironically I havn't lost any weight, just like I never lost any weight from purging.  I just hope this doesn't mess up my metabolism like purging did.  I don't want to gain a bunch when this is over.  Frown

I want to work out but, I'm so exhausted and not terribly comfortable.

Gloom and doom; gloom and doom!

I guess I just need some support.  Thanks

hey, its okay. purging is totally a guilty pleasure, i wouldn't know but i can imagine. just remember that it'll cause you to expand in the long run and because it is a temporary state, that it won't be forever. i have hypothyroid, so i blew up and it destroyed my thyroid which monitors my metabolism. so now i have to take medication everyday for the rest of my life, and just recently my thyroid doctor said my thyroid was closer to a normal size but it didn't reverse the effects of my metabolism, so that makes it really hard to lose weight even with exercise. i'd just recommend drinking lots of fluids to settle your stomach and green tea to keep your metabolism going. :)
