What would be the worst comment someone's made about you before you decided to take care of your health ?

When I was Chubby = You look pleasantly plum (From my mother - who is VERY critical about appearance)

When I was very Skinny = You look like a cancer patient (From my mother, brother, sister, father & even a woman my mother randomly MET who happened to be a NURSE - she was trying to get this random nurse to "snap me out of my funk"... yea, bad mood! ha ha ha!)

**OH but I am perfectly happy with me today, as a matter of fact, walking down the street today, boys eating, calling out to me when I went into the book store & on the way out asking if I had a boyfriend, etc - I know a lot of people get angry when boys do this but I find it flattering! ha ha ha!**

"When are you due?"

Before I lost the weight...

I work in a clothing store and a lady spent 20 minutes telling me how obese her sister was, how she gained a grotesque amount of weight and nothing fit her, etc. She then procedded to ask me to try on a robe because "she is about your size." Nice.

After I lost the weight...

I'll pray for you.

"Nooooo, but you're so comfy!" ~My boyfriend, well meaning as he is, is an ass.

Also there was one point when a friend and I were both interested in the aforementioned ass, and I found a journal entry that she had left lying open wondering why in God's green earth he would be interested in me rather than her. She flat out said she had a better body and couldn't see any reason for it.

Yeah. Stung a bit.

Heh, maybe this is why he chose YOU!  She doesn't see any reason to be with someone if they aren't physically perfect. :P

As I don't generally give a rat's cahones what anyone thinks of me, the worst comment came from my doctor.....  "Your BP is rather high and if you don't do something about your weight you're going to need medication".

Yep... that did it.

Ohh ... Yeah. Mine said something similar, too.

Um, I was in a Macy's once, scoping out some amazing purses with my BF. This one guy who was all talking to us and stuff asked "Boy or girl"...I was in the middle of walking away any how. He FOLLOWED US, proceeding to ask when I was due, the sex, etc. I was HORRIFIED, and sooooooooooo embarrassed.

Yeah, f*ck that.

Shopping in a halloween store:

"dear, were going to be getting these costumes in 2x, and 3 x soon so they'll be plenty for you to pick from!"

I was 17 and a size 11 in juniours at that point.

&& another one, walking to the movies with a friend:

a group of teenage boys drove by and rolled down the window "hey fatasses! ever heard of weight watchers?!?!" oh that was fun.
