The worst of luck...

My mom and I finally got the motivation to join the gym, so we did. It's an all girl gym, with a heated pool and many classes, and tvs connected to each treadmill. The perfect place to work out. I went three times, working out about an hour and a half each time, and I find myself falling in love with working out in such a good environment.

Today I decided to go for a class, but when I got there, there's a few people sticking posters on the windows. I stood there for a while waiting for them to get out of the way to get in. But when I get a closer look, I realize that the gym is completely dark inside. On the door, there is a little notice.

Apparently the gym was forced to close down due to bankruptcy. Those people were sticking advertisements for their own gyms. Doing the math, I was probably one of the last people to use the equipment, since I was there late the night before.

How unlucky is that? It was within walking distance, and had everything a gym could offer (even a snack bar!). It's not like there weren't any members, since the gym always had a bunch of people in it.

I'm angry :( I'm really bad at working out at home since I get easily distracted. It's going to be hard to find another gym to satisfy my needs and wants.

man that sucks, it is really had to find a gym that you can fall in love with like you did, and you probably won't find one like that anytime soon.  Its kind of like loosing a pet, a replacement pet is never the same...

well thats pretty crappy timing. I dont know what I would do with out my gym. I suck at working out at home too. I hate running outside and usually inside if I work out its on my wii and thats the extent. I even own a tredmill but it gets no use.

Good luck finding a new gym. Visit all the gyms in your area and have a rep show you around. Explain to them what happened. Maybe they can give you a deal. Its kinda hard to find just girl gyms though. I think I have one near me but I like my Co member gym. I like the diversity there.

If you have only just joined within the last week (you say you've only gone 3 times) i'd register as a person that they owe money to with whoever is administering the bankruptcy.  Seriously.. they shouldnt have let you join if they were about to go under. You should definitely get your joining fee and membership fee back.  If you paid by credit card just ring your company and ask them to reverse the transaction because its in dispute.

Lucky for us, my mom gave three post dated checks for the 20th of april. My mom is just going to stop payment them.
