What wouldn't you do in front of your boyfriend/girlfriend?

Quote  |  Reply
PS. Even if you're not in a relationship, you can still participate =)

Alrighty, so let's say you've been going out with your boyfriend/girlfriend for about 7-10 months, would you still be shy to do some stuff you'd never do at the beginning of your relationship?

I've been going out with mine for about 9 months, I've done everything ( including burping ) except farting. My worst fear is a deadly but silent when it's just both of us!

What about you guys?

um.... i still struggle with lights on 'you know what'. only been 4 monthsish tho
Bathroom time is personal time. Except the showering together (thats fun) I cant do the one on the toliet while the other is at the sink.
I'm with mayfair on the toilet thing. That's just weird. lol

Apart from that, we're very open with each other. She loves my grossness, or so she pretends anyway ;)
Haha, I never thought about that, but it's true I know what you mean
My b/f has no problem talking to me with the bathroom door open and peeing...but i cant pee infront of him
been going out for over 4 years now.. have done everything cept for #2 in the washroom... and um... i know it's bad but squeezing my blackheads..

Lots of things but im nutty in my self-conscious ways lol.
I've been going out with my boyfriend for 1-2 years or so (Its difficult to remember how long exactly and what counts and what doesn't since for most of it we weren't able to see each other).
I burp i guess, but i have a strange burp, its not loud.
Its more like a hiccup i guess.
Anyway, other then that... nothing.
Still too paranoid to fart lol.
Such ghastly stuff.
Though i don't even like peeing at his place, ha.

Gah and that 'being in the room while the other is on the toilet' thing so so... wrong.
I doubt i could ever do that lol, even if we'd been living together for years and years!
I've been with my bf almost 4 years and well there really isnt anything I wouldn't do in front of him apart from a #2. That's really gross. LOL. I can pee while he's there like talk to him through the door or leave it open if I'm in a hurry Lol but he will never see him doing a #2. EVER!!!!
I've been married ah... let's just go with 100 years.  Feels close enough.  lol

Anyway, I am not into any going to the bathroom stuff in front of each other.  It doesn't exactly inspire romantic feelings, imo.  I don't seal the bathroom up like a tomb though.  The door is usually cracked.  Has to be.  lol  There'd be a feline riot outside the door if I dared deprive them of Mommy in the bathroom time.  lol  I tend to always be very quick though.  Never understood hanging out in there.

A lot of houses here have seperate little rooms within the bathrooms for the toilet.  Not mine though.  That's a handy thing though.  My mother's house has that.  She has like 4 bathrooms though so it hardly matters.

Showering & other stuff like that I generally don't care.  Unless I'm really pissed off, then I hardly feel like being glared at by the person who bothered me.

I can burp on command, so therefore can also control it so I don't do it so anyone can hear.
Farting I definitely try to avoid.  It's hard not to slip through lots of years but I'd never be flippant about it.  I think it's a respect thing.

lol...the ONLY thing I won't do in front of my boyfriend of 3 years is wipe (hahaha!). I don't mind #2 in front of him, but when it comes to finishing up, he gets the "don't look!" And he hates farting, so I try to hold it in around him.
For some reason, I'm REALLY comfortable with some things and then REALLY awkward about others.  For example, I know it's not a big deal to most, but I'll talk about my period like it's nothing to my boyfriend (he doens't care, but I'm sure he's not dying to know either).  (This is weird because I have some GIRL friends who won't even say the word "period.") But things like going to the washroom (he'll do it on the phone, but I think that's different) I can't do. When I was little I'd always tell my older sister (a decade older than me) that when I got married I wanted separate bathrooms in my house and she said I'd change when I got older.  Well, I'm older now, and I still won't crap in front of him...and don't think I ever will either! Farting is definitely not either...but I find I don't usually have to hide it that much...they don't really smell/make noise? Lucky me I guess...ha haha. I had a boyfriend a few years ago who was really into gross things and begged me to fart in front of him. But I wouldn't. haha. Oh lastly (or what I can think of for now)...this is my weird one...blowing my nose.  I can on occasion, but I HATE being sick in front of people....I always worry that they'll think I'm really gross and not want to be around me (not because I'll spread, just because there's so much snot!).  Ha ha! A bit lame, but there it is!

(I haven't seen my boyfriend in three months, but he's moving here in 16 days! We'll see what ends up happening then!)
I will not go to the bathroom in front of him. Why would you want to???

I suffer from IBS, so farting sometimes slips. He doesn't seem to care, he even made a joke of it because he knew I felt bad and made a game out of it. LOL
I don't like brushing my teeth/blowing my nose/passing gas/going number two/shaving underarms in front of my boyfriend.  Some things I'd like to keep separate to keep it from being TOO comfortable.  It's nice to leave a little bit of mystery.
haha, the mystery of blowing your nose!

I totally get what you mean though. I know that when  I eventually live with my boyfriend we're going to share a lot more (likely gross things, ha), but I don't think it's a necessary part of being intimate (emotionally/phsyically) to share EVERYTHING. Maybe it'll happen, but I don't need to force it.  I don't think I'm uncomfortable with a irrational amount/type of things....it seems like we all share the same fears!
One of the reasons I try not to do anything potentially gross in front of my hb whenever possible is because he does any number of disgusting things right in front of me, quite carelessly and based on how it makes me look at him... I just know it's best not to do it in front of someone else.  Even if they technically deserve it.  lol

Blowing my nose however I'll do in front of him.  He has asthma & allergies and I have all sorts of sinus issues too since I was a kid, so it's hard to avoid never doing it.

My mother flips out about that though.  She thinks you should go into the bathroom to blow your nose.  lol
I've been living with my boyfriend for 2 1/2 years. We live with his parents, so pooping or peeing with the door cracked or unlocked is a no-no. I'm glad i don't even have the chance to share that part of my life with him.

But yeah, I don't fart, pick my nose, or even burp. I can't burp, physically. I never have, except maybe 10 times altogether. My "burps" sound like the stop halfway up my throat. So I just sound like a frog. It's weird. And no one ever believes me when i say I can't burp. I WISH I COULD!!

I won't pop zits in front of him. But I have no problem clipping my toenails :-) sexy
OH good lord people, no one has mentioned a single thing I won't do in front of my husband. He won't pee in front me, however and that's ok. We both don't like the other one hovering over the computer when we're using it. We have weird quirks but they're the same ones.
I've been with my sweetie for 2 years and we don't think twice about sharing the bathroom, he'll shower I'll pee vice versa he'll shave I'll poo i guess it just doesn't matter that much to us. we were farting in front of each-other by the 3rd date. i guess we're just weird like that.

there isn't much that i won't do in front of my b/f. always have to have the door closed when in the bathroom though. sometiems if i really have to go i'll pee while he's in the shower but that's it. we've been together for 4 years and i've always burped and crap in front of him. i'm just like that lol.

Laura,  I burp the same way!
