wow!! didnt think you would burn this much!!! and we go every weekend, sat and sun...... and usually fish for 4 - 5 hours!! i figured it would be much lower..... is this right????
Are you reeling in a couple of Marlins every ten minutes? LOL!
If not, I'm investing in a rod and reel first thing in the morning!

lol no just sitting on the bank, just fishing...... only caught some baby bluegill today..... and we have been going for the last month or so.... and thought i would see if it was in the activities and it was and i am shocked that you burn that much!! so if that is close to being rite, then i would say "gone fishing!!" plus if you catch your fish, you can eat them!! and they good for ya!!
went out fishing again today for 5 hours, and caught a mess of bluegill and 1 turtle!! and it says for 5 hours of fishing i burnt 1,238 calories!! just amazing!!

it has different ones. like in a boat, standing.....
I would imagine that's for fishing with a spinner or something.....If you just sit there useing a bobber then I don't think you would burn much....but with a spinner on you have to cast and reel it in the whole time you are fishing....So I can see that number being right for that type of fishing......

and I fought with my boyfriend about going twice on sat and twice on sunday... i must have burned a boat load!!!

you can judge for yourself.. physical work is physical work.. if you are SITTING as you say.. then you log it as sitting.. with one arm extended. burning calories doesnt happen magically.. if it doesnt feel like work.. then you didnt work.
If you are getting that number from CC, that is the total amount you will burn over that time, which includes the calories you would have burned just anyway without fishing. So you can't just simply add that number to your normal burn.
Hate to bust your bubble... but you have to put that number up against the number for standing for an hour, or sitting for an hour. It takes that into account, it can't just be added on as an activity, unfortunately haha
